@Sue_Cowley We go out if it’s not too heavy but if it’s persistent heavy rain we have wet play. We always try to go out if we can even for a short time, rather than wet play.
@missgeog92 My holidays are almost always different to my daughters. I work in Derbyshire and she goes to school in Sheffield and Rotherham (we are close to border) and very rarely the same holidays. As she has got older she has enjoyed the freedom but when she was younger it was awful.
Started reading the Ofsted English subject report about half an hour ago and my brain is whirling of recent conversations about just this. Focusing on getting the basics right early. Too awake to go to sleep now though with too many thoughts in my head.
Mute the staff chat every holiday but now thinking I need to go back to removing school email and message apps from my phone too. I’m annoyed I put them back on!
Day one of the holidays and my fridge breaks down. Luckily I hadn’t been food shopping yet but today was an expensive first day. I don’t even get paid until Friday. It will be a quiet and cheap half term.
@londonteacher_ I have a couple of pairs of loop. One for my anxiety when I’m feeling overwhelmed and one for sleep. I can put one in and block out my husbands snoring (with my other ear on the pillow)
@missgeog92 I would 100% buy that. My glasses fall off my head multiple times a day and today because of that I left them at home and have struggled with a spare pair all day. I think that’s a fab idea.
Been having a play around this week using chat GPT to lighten the load. Created a Wagoll for English, a clozed procedure for spelling, a word search and some anagrams. Quite impressed and interested to try it more.
