Day 28: “Hiding Places Walk”
If only these hid me from mosquitos...
In ascending order of hiding hole size: an ant aisle amidst amounts , a critter cave and cautious cache, a timber tent for the taller tails, and a hole for a whole human.

The power of teaching SEL = students with: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making. Let’s give our students as many strategies for their current & future success! 🧠💛https://t.co/bAotc7sLKC @caselorg#SEL#QueensU
Day 2: An evening walk on the ridge with the best of company. Before it began I felt exhausted and unfocused. However, around each bend brought new vistas, trees, leaves, sounds, smells, and sun rays. Transformative—I feel great! #UNBCED#walkingcurriculum#EDUC490#mentalhealth
First ed twitter chat done, thank you @tracyacramer will be keeping this teacher twitter for future chats #queenskindies2021 what an excellent way to connect with educators and discuss what we love to do! Goodnight!
A5 this summer through @ScienceWorldTR we explored offline coding this could be the link Waldorf and the tech lens #queenskindies2021 we 'coded' dance sequences, very Waldorf
@k_taimuri I agree - however, without the internet and technology I would not have seen the faces of my students for a month and half last year though. The value of no-screen and time could be valuable to teach these days.
A2 there is time and place for tech, students are entering a globally connected world and it is up to teachers to teach them the tools as they progress through the years #queenskindies2021
A3 That we need to consider what children are seeing on the screen, they do not have the same prior knowledge that adults do and how important it is to teach and model how we take in Tech. #queenskindies2021
A4 Children would have the opportunity to have well rounded life, practical and social skills. I think we'd have more children love learning and wanting to be lifelong learners! #queenskindies2021
A1 That the children don't learn to read until they're ready (much later than public school system)- makes me wonder what it would be like if public schools took the same approach. #queenskindies2021
@plus3finder @tracyacramer That's what surprised me too! It's yet another example of the importance of play and holistic learning has for child development.
