After reading “One Plastic Bag” we tried making our own creations like Isatou Ceesay did. Students created money, bracelets, bookmarks and one little planner even made a ring for his future bride @cedarhollowps #thehollow

Each month we assemble our calendar and many number sense concepts emerge. “🐶 eats twice a day. How many meals will she eat this month?” One S counted by 2s; another thought of 2x30; and another counted by 10 every multiple of 5 @cedarhollowps #thehollow

While looking at properties of liquids, some debate emerged over whether or not “clear” is a colour or if it is a different property. We got the food colouring out to see if any colour can be clear @cedarhollowps #thehollow

Guess a number. If it matches the rule, it goes in the circle; if not, outside the circle. Students figured out first rule quickly but are still working on the second. There are more numbers that could go in the circle so we’ll put some more up tomorrow @cedarhollowps #thehollow
