@rmackman@Kia@Hyundai Steering wheel locks don’t work. They’ve learned how to get them off. They got mine off. Now, they are bringing children with them (3-4 year olds) because MKE PD will no longer pursue them with children in the car.
Healthy cultures are created by staff coming together as one & agreeing on a set of collective commitments for all students & for each other...and then not allowing certain individuals to opt out. Collective means all. What if we just committed to this? #Culturize#Excellence
Teachers are exhausted, teachers are hurting, teachers are surviving, teachers are keeping their heads above water! Shoutout to every single teacher hanging in there, turning up every single day to help kids! Cant say enough! We see you, we hear you & we got your back! Thank you!

#ThoughtForTheDay Effective teachers are respected by their peers, are often requested by parents for their children, and at the end of the year students talk about how awesome their teacher was and how they wish they could have them again. #Culturize
#ThoughtForTheDay In the best classrooms, every student feels like the favorite student. In the best schools, every teacher and support staff also feel like the favorite. Let’s take care of our people. #Culturize
#ThoughtForTheDay When a student has broken down & is yelling, crying & saying inappropriate things, focus on the emotion. Too often we listen only to the words, looking to place blame, rather than responding to the hurt & the pain. #HandleWithCareEDU
#ThoughtForTheDay We can raise expectations w/o raising our voices or the level of fear. The young brain will respond much better to teaching, directing, & encouraging than yelling, blaming, & ridiculing. The stage, court, or field are an extension of the classroom. Teach them.
