Iβve been exploring @WideOpenSchool and I have learned so much! One of my favorite things about this website is the virtual field trips that are available! I have become excited to use this in my future classroom! #EDUC331#pstpln
How do you balance what needs to be done in your professional life and who needs you in your personal life? I feel like no matter what I decide to do I am always letting someone down.
Iβve been thinking about applying to be a substitute teacher for the district that I am doing my fieldwork in. Does anyone have any advice? Pro or cons for the idea? Iβm really nervous but feel that the practice would be great! #EDUC331
@Bigler_Michelle A4: Access and adaptability are important when designing a website, because it needs to be user friendly. Allowing anyone and everyone to explore and learn.
@Bigler_Michelle A3: I will incorporate these elements into my portfolio by making it colorful and bold with contrast colors to make the main points and information stand out.
@Bigler_Michelle A2: I think what makes a website easy to navigate is the layout and flow of the website. The layout allows for there to be structure and clear concise locations to find certain information.
@Bigler_Michelle A1: I feel like my layout will enhance my portfolio the most, because I am going to make it inviting and welcoming so that people want to keep exploring and learning.
@MelissaRathmann A4: I love this quote! This was always my favorite thing about school! I loved being able to go home and talk with my family about something that I learned that day that would then lead into a whole family discussion. #CelebratEd#EDUC331#pstpln
@MelissaRathmann A2: I feel like homework can be beneficial if it is apparent that a student needs some extra practice. At that point though, it shouldn't just be sending a worksheet home to do, there needs to be some creativity one how to help the student to learn. #CelebratEd#EDUC331#pstpln
@MelissaRathmann A3:Have more hands activities planned that can be fun for not only the kids, but also parents. For example if you're studying space, have the kids go outside and watch the sunset taking pictures through the stages of it setting. #CelebratEd#EDUC331#pstpln
@Flipgrid Is the last platform that I would recommend following! We have used this a lot in my class and it is actually rather fun! It is a great way to connect with your peers in a video format!
One organization that I would recommend following is
@Seesaw. I have noticed that a lot of teachers use this platform to communicate with parents and keep them posted on their child throughout the day! #pstpln#FF#EDUC331
@WeAreTeachers is a great platform to follow! They offer great articles for activities and advice! They also offer inspiration for when teachers have those particularly hard days!
