@ed_urias@MccormackKenya Second chances are so important for students because the best way you can learn is from your mistakes. Students may look at mistakes as failure but I see a great opportunity to learn. #MackPack
@ed_urias@MccormackKenya I like that you bring up expectations, I think you are right that you can present a test in a different way to fit a student's needs but still hold them to high expectations. Differentiate does not mean dumbing the content down. #MackPack
@ed_urias@MccormackKenya I love that you mention student - teacher relationship. I feel a lot of teachers keep students at a distance but building a relationship with them is key to their success in your class. #MackPack
@ed_urias@MccormackKenya I like this idea, also from our text if gave and idea to let students take their wrong answer and having them write a question that would make their wrong answer right. I like this idea because it adds to their knowledge in a new way and develops problem solving skills. #MackPack
@MccormackKenya Assessment are tools to measure students learning progress. They help both the student and teacher see where improvement needs to be made and what successes have been achieved. Classrooms where you are differentiating a test is to better reflect the students skill level.#MackPack
@MccormackKenya My formative assessments in my signature assignment would be the time in the unit to apply error analysis. My feedback for student's quizzes could give them tips on how to improve next time. Along with having students take their wrong answer and examine it deeper #MackPack
@MccormackKenya Journaling (being able to reflect through the process), Portfolios (seeing their progress through out the year), and Pre-testing ( seeing what they know before hand and after the learning process). #MackPack#CSUBTED#EDSE5100
@ed_urias@MccormackKenya I agree. I love giving the students the "Why" rational because there is no reason to hide the learning process from students #CSUBTED
@educator_dorsy @MccormackKenya I like how you stated they have to own the knowledge. Unless a student can do something without you they haven't really learned it. #CSUBTED
@mrioux214@MccormackKenya I like the idea of teaching the same skills across curriculum. Not so much content I think that should vary from teacher to teacher#CSUBTED
@MccormackKenya A3:Positive: Teachers can help one another reach learning goals and get data Negative: You lose creativity/individuality #CSUBTED#EDSE5500
