UNIVERSITY UPDATE: University President Roberto Yap, SJ announced that there will be no tuition and fee increase for AY 2026–2027 across all school units through a memorandum released today, June 3.

This comes after the University’s Board of Trustees Executive Committee meeting on May 30, where the board approved the “tuition freeze” for students and a salary increase for all employees for fiscal year 2026–2027.

According to the memorandum, the increase was made possible through a “deliberate process of cost-cutting in operational expenses and delaying major capital expenditures.”

One-and-done prospect EJ Kapihe has committed to the Ateneo Blue Eagles for UAAP Season 89.

The 6’6” forward most recently suited up for the Wooster Fighting Scots in the US NCAA’s Division III.

Kapihe will make his debut with the Blue Eagles in the 19th Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup, with the first game happening on June 6 at 5:00 PM against the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
