I’m sorry to learn of the passing of fmr Indianapolis Police Chief James D. Toler. Cheif Toler became the city’s first African American Police Chief back in 1992, after being appointed top cop by Mayor Goldsmith. Jim will be remembered as a trailblazer, a kind and gentle leader.
Joe McAtee will go down as one of the most influential figures in law enforcement and public safety in our city & county’s history. As a former police chief, sheriff and constable he led with honor and distinction.
Great to see Officer Mangan on the mend and continuing his recovery! We are grateful for his service to our city and continue to pray for him and his family.
