The report on the work is in PSAS (via @socantscot) from 1986 and there are some amazing images in there. I believe, and this has yet to be confirmed, that @urbanprehisto is writing up a blog post about it so watch this space. Should we do a Pictish #BuildNBurn @gmacg_1?

Our attention has been drawn to a crazy #BuildNBurn undertaken by Ian Ralston in a refuse site in 1980. The focus a section of timber-laced fort, the aim to test vitrification. It appeared on an episode of Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World. Jealous! Thanks to @richard_littler
