@TheZigZiglar Talent is raw ore. Intention is the forge. When attention is guided, effort crystallizes into progress, and the ordinary becomes masterpiece.
Good morning 5am club. The best way to end something is to starve it. Withdraw your energy from anything that no longer serves you. Starve toxicity, distractions and anything bad for you. Feed your focus.🌺
Ubuntu and dictatorship do not mix. At the core of ubuntu is respect. You cannot be without others being. The reason we had so many internal splits and revolts through out our history was because of the class stratification that did not evaluate everyone to their true worth and yet we all desired to be humans among other humans.
While the white folks called it Democracy, we called most of it Ubuntu/Unhu/Botho - the state of humanness. It could not be human not to have compassion, nor respect, nor family, nor community.
The individual existed within the group. His desires were always evaluated in the context of others and the interests of the whole. Human history is a process of social improvement. Our forefathers navigated through their time, churning what worked for them in the context of their environment.
It is upon us, knowing what we know now, cognisant of our history and appreciating the new realities that we face; to forge a path that builds on the aspirations of our forefathers but also seeking to answer the contemporary questions around our own existence.
We should not shy away from the responsibility of improving ourselves and our systems. We should also not be driven to self-immolation by challenges that seem too huge to surmount, neither should we backtrack into hopelessness of dictatorship because our rulers hate the possibility of their exstinction if all men were to be.
Our motivation should be that our forefathers produced a philosophical blueprint for us within the context of their time, it is our responsibility to upgrade & update our systems to fulfill their vision while pushing the needle of history forward.
If not democracy, then let it Ubuntu. For everything we do, let the one who dishes be the last to pick the plate.
Ndatenda!
Success costs something—and it’s never money first.
It costs comfort.
It costs excuses.
It costs the version of you that wants to stay where it’s familiar.
If you’re not paying that price, you’re window-shopping your destiny.
