@ZeekArkham If the shirt said “Only White Lives Matter”, I’d have an issue with it. In fact, my issue with “Black Lives Matter” shirts is that to most people who wear them, the “Only” is understood.
@guyfelicella As a Canadian, you’re not entitled to an answer. Mind your own business. You have a big enough shitshow at home to take all your time and attention.
@Newsforce I can’t fault the Russians for protecting their own interests. If we don’t want Armenia to buy Russian gas, we should make them a better offer.
I’ve driven parts of it, some of it on a motorcycle. You have to understand that Route 66 is 3,940 kilometers from end-to-end, so it passes through many towns in different states. It’s not used as a major highway anymore; people drive it mostly for historical interest.
There’s every type of terrain you can imagine. Parts are mountainous and heavily wooded, parts are flat, and much of it is somewhere between those extremes. The towns along the route vary as much as the terrain. There are plenty of restaurants, hotels, and souvenir shops along most of it, but you do have to plan ahead in the desert to avoid running out of fuel.
The vast wilderness gets all the attention because of its beauty, but the highway running through the wilderness is not just a road. There are towns and even cities along the way. Many of them have preserved parts of the history. If you want to take a side trip into the wilderness, you can certainly do that, but it’s not mandatory.
It passes through some beautiful terrain and the bits of American history are interesting. I think you’d enjoy it.
