Ohio’s unemployment rate was 3.9 percent in April 2026, remaining below the national rate of 4.3 percent. Ohio gained an estimated 7,800 jobs between March and April 2026, reaching approximately 5.68 million jobs, which is about 75,000 more jobs than in January 2020.
