Who is responsible for the drowning of Jalalpur Pirwala ?

The flood situation in Multan has evolved exactly as I had warned last week. It has been technically mishandled because of poltical pressure and technical incompetence. Had the band at head Mohammad wala been breached in time, the scale of disaster and damage could have been curtailed. Instead between the Gillani family and CM sahiba's decision making we have lost farm land, villages and towns.

Another aspect that is being overlooked is the faulty design of the bridge at head Mohammad wala. the bridge was constructed with a narrow water passage. This structural bottleneck severely restricts the river’s flow and increases the risk of water buildup during high discharge. Unless corrective measures are taken, Multan will remain vulnerable to annual flood disasters.

This issue was pointed out at the time of the bridge’s construction, but the concern was dismissed at the highest level of government leaving Multan vulnerable.

Breaching the road a week earlier would have allowed higher volumes of water to pass through and reduced the immediate pressure. However, delayed decisions by authorities have worsened the problem.

This is wilful negligence and must be held to account.

Agriculture sector employs around 50% of Pakistan's labour force. If you look at unemployment statutes for the last 3 years the crisis takes titanic proportions.

Dear Pakistanis,

As I write this letter from the confines of Kot Lakhpat Jail, where I remain incarcerated in
solitary confinement, my spirit remains unshaken and unwavering in loyalty to Pakistan.

The events of the past few days have once again exposed the belligerence and
aggression of India.
India, without evidence or justification, continues its unlawful and provocative actions under the guise of unsubstantiated claims. Pakistan has demonstrated maturity, restraint and moral clarity in the face of this hostility.

The press conference jointly addressed by the representatives of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy on Friday 9th May was a moment of national pride.

The calm, dignified and factual manner in which our armed forces communicated the
reality to the nation and the world earned respect at a global level. The clarity of purpose, coupled with professionalism and grace underscored Pakistan’s commitment to peace,
sovereignty and self respect.

In our response to Indian escalatory actions, targeting military assets and ensuring no civilian harm, the world must see that Pakistani does not seek war, but will never shy awayfrom defending its people, its soil and its honour.
In these decisive moments, all of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, its supporters and the citizens
of Pakistan stood firmly like an iron wall, united behind our defenders. Pakistan first
always.

I served as Foreign Minister when Pakistan faced similar trials- when Pulwama was
exploited to manufacture a false flag narrative. I stood before the global community and defended Pakistans truth, dignity and rights. Today, I do the same, from behind bars, with the same resolve. I salute the brave men and women who continue to put their lives on the line for us all. I salute the people of Pakistan who despite economic hardships, political turmoil and global challenges, remain resolute, courageous and proud.

In times of adversity, true nations are tested - and true nations rise. Pakistan has once
again shown the world that we are not weak, not divided and not afraid.

Pakistan and India have agreed to ceasefire and meet to discuss the way forward. I urge an internal political ceasefire to initiate a national dialogue on the existential challenges confronting Pakistan and putting our in house in order.
