@Jordancrazyl @derridalicious Yes, years. 😭 It led to depression and made chemo brain even worse. I tried meditation & yoga, which helped some. I ended up working nights since I was up all night anyway. Fortunately, my spouse helped a lot with the newborns and as they became toddlers.
11 years ago, I received the news: Breast cancer. One week after learning I was pregnant. I’m still here. Been busy living. And still working on health disparities and equity, among other things. Thanks for the bracelet, @live_bucket! #LiveMotivated
#FeelGoodFriday: Humbled to be recognized by @CW33 as a Remarkable Woman. My journey of life hasn’t been easy. However, I make it a point to keep service and community at the forefront of everything I do. Thank you to CW33 for sharing my story! https://t.co/38vjFXvSlL
As #TNBCDay comes to an end - I just want to mention two women who helped me. Held my (virtual) hand through it all. Firstly - @ChristinaNewman I try and live each day in your memory. I credit you for saving my life. Secondly @TeamR0XY for being there for me! 💕 to all

Today marks 10 YEARS since I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer! So many of you have been apart of this journey. I am and will be forever grateful for your love and support. 💕 #TeamRoxy
ABSOLUTELY NOT. This man was a pillar of strength for a whole community; we should not designate him a loser. He TRIUMPHED in a life cut short too soon. I refuse to make cancer the winner in this imaginary war. Chadwick Boseman won hearts and minds and cancer won nothing.
Take two minutes for Chadwick Boseman’s inspirational message from his 2018 Howard University commencement speech. At the time, he was two years into his private stage 3 cancer fight.
"You aren't going to have the year you thought you'd have."
That's what a nurse told Marc Silver and his wife after she was diagnosed with cancer. He reflects on how that journey prepared them both to adapt during this unpredictable and chaotic time.
