1/2 A great day spent providing safeguarding training for my colleagues in the ED. This group of staff have a unique set of circumstances to deal with in terms of safeguarding and there has been a real value in delivering a bespoke training day that meets their needs.

@so_safeguarding Been there and felt exactly the same. I tried to think of it as learning rather than an assessment which helped. That and a very helpful WhatsApp group of fellow students to off load too. We shared, laughed, joked, cried and despaired, but we did it together. Keep going 💪

With cases on the rise we all need to be vigilant to the issue of forced marriage. It is also worth remembering that 33.8% of cases the Forced Marriage Unit dealt with in 2018 were children under the age of 18. #ForcedMarriage is a #childsafeguarding issue.
