Since I've canceled both Toronto & EUIC and plan to not take the rest of 2025 season seriously anymore, here are the teams I've used to hit #4 on ladder not too long ago, peaking at 1844 points. If you have any questions or help for EUIC regarding the teams, feel free to DM me.

Balance not not muy serio ( by @PokeAlex_ )
Last weekend, Alex showed up to the Summit of Champions Winter Invitational with creative picks like CB Urshifu-Rapid & Clear Amulet Rillaboom. This is why I wanted to take a closer look at the team today.
Team: https://t.co/EGqEvZpdtL
Flutter Mane:
The biggest trend of Regulation F 2.0 is Bold Flutter Mane. I think, on this team Bold Flutter Mane is a good call yet again since it can stay on the field for a very long time thanks to Intimidate and Grassy Terrain support. Also, since the Flutter Mane does not carry Protect, a Bold Nature can help it to get more than one move off in more offensive matchups as well. Taunt is amazing into Farigiraf, Amoonguss, Incineroar or Calm Mind Raging Bolt. Moonblast and Icy Wind are fairly standard and Thunder Wave gives you a better speed control option against Tailwind based teams as well as the Yellow Magic Chance. The spread survives Adamant Tera Stellar Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao (what the helly?) and Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu most of the time while outspeeding Gouging Fire and some other Bold Flutter Mane.
Urshifu-Rapid-Strike:
Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid brings back great memories cause I've used it myself back in Regulation I. Tera Ghost is a good choice cause it ensures that it can execute the job as Balance Breaker a little better due to the Fake Out immunity. It also helps in some other situations like Dragonite or opposing Urshifu. The moves are self explanatory. The spread allows Urshifu to outrun Smeargle and the fastest Pokémon in the meta after an Icy Wind. Most of the remaining points are invested into Special Defense to allow Urshifu to survive Thunderclap from 100+ Raging Bolt as well as +1 Booster Energy Thunderclap from 100+ when terastalized. It also survives Earth Power from Landorus-I while maintaining enough HP EVs to also survive Tera Normal Sword Of Ruin Extreme Speed from Dragonite (in case you can't/don't want to tera) and Tera Stellar Close Combat from Urshifu.
Incineroar:
Assault Vest Incineroar is another favourite of mine. I think it's a cheat code to put such an item on such a good Pokémon. Tera Grass helps against Water and Ground type attacks. Moves are yet again just the classical choice. Spreadwise I decided to outrun -1 Modest Gholdengo as well as -2/paralyzed Tornadus and Ogerpon. We got enough SpDef investment to take an Earth Power from Landorus & Ursaluna-BM. Specs Moonblast from Flutter Mane is also not a 2HKO. The physical bulk allows Incineroar to take hits like High Horsepower from Rillaboom and Gouging Fire attacks better. Sacred Sword from Chien-Pao can be a 2HKO but only if they are Adamant and Grassy Terrain isn't active. Adamant just goes BRR and pairs a little better with the Bold Flutter Mane.
Rillaboom:
Clear Amulet Rillaboom might be one of the best sets right now. I'm not the biggest Rillaboom fan in the current meta but Grassy Glide is still an amazing move to have and Rilla also enables the Double Fake Out Pirouette. It's fast enough to outspeed Tornadus after an Icy Wind which means that you can double up into an Ogerpon-Hearthflame with Icy Wind + High Horsepower which is very neat. It has enough bulk to withstand a Choice Specs Moonblast from Flutter Mane, Helping Hand Life Orb Hyper Voice from Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, Flare Blitz from no Attack invested Incineroar and Tera Stellar Close Combat from Urshifu.
Gholdengo:
Gholdengo is slept on I think. It is incredibly strong, it's typing is good into the meta and it has one of the best spread moves in the game. Tera Flying gets around Landorus (both forms) and the Life Orb allows you to get knockouts on Flutter Mane (unboosted), Urshifu-Rapid (with +1) and Amoonguss (with +2). I chose Max Speed to outspeed Urshifu. Mystic Water is not max speed usually and Choice Scarf can get punished by Fake Outs or Icy Wind. I gave the Gholdengo some bulk to survive Tera Water Surging Strikes or -1 Tera Stellar Sucker Punch from Chien-Pao if you are full life.
Dragonite:
Dragonite with Loaded Dice has seen some play here and there and I'm a big believer of the set. It is another Pokémon that's very good into balance teams but with Multiscale and Extreme Speed, it's also a valuable pick against offense teams as well. Tera Steel helps against Fairy, Dragon and Ice Type attacks. It also boosts Iron Head which allows it to get an OHKO against Flutter Mane every time. The boost can also come in handy against Tera Fairy Gouging Fire or Raging Bolt. The attack stat is great cause you OHKO Chien-Pao if you get 5 hits. The speed stat is nice to outrun Adamant Chien-Pao after a Scale Shot as well as Max Speed Modest Raging Bolt. The small bulk also comes in handy cause with it, Dragonite survives the combination of Tera Water/Stellar Surging Strike + Sludge Bomb from 196+ Life Orb Landorus.
Variations:
The moves seem pretty much perfect. You can change the Tera on Flutter Mane to Fairy if you want the Dark resist and a damage boost on Moonblast. Gholdengo can be Tera Water if you want to have a better typing into Urshifu and Chien-Pao.
Conclusion:
Strong player, strong team. If you want to play a Balance team without Raging Bolt, definitely give it a go. I would give it a 6.7/10 cause it has some tools I just hate (TWave Flutter & Scale Shot) 🫡
Goltres Sneasler BS (by @SlycedBread )
Last weekend, Moltres-Galar popped off in multiple tournaments and Dorian was able to finish 2nd in VR with a Choice Specs Set. He paired it with Thunder Wave Flutter Mane and Band Rock Slide Arcanine-H (🤢)
Team: https://t.co/N3jkA8Kmeq
Flutter Mane:
Thunder Wave + Icy Wind Flutter Mane is incredible for speed control cause it's pretty much impossible to stop both. Taunt on a Ghost Type is generally nice to have against Trick Room based teams and it also keeps Amoonguss in check and you can overall create long-term gameplans by taunting a Pokémon to prevent Protect or any other nonsense. Since the Flutter Mane does not carry Protect, I decided to go for a Bold Nature. Fast Flutter Mane with Thunder Wave is also very reasonable but Bold Flutter Mane + Intimidate Support is ridicuolous. You survive -1 116+ Wood Hammer + Grassy Glide from Rillaboom. You also survive some other silly stuff like +2 Grassy Glide from Hearthflame (43% Chance to KO) and Surging Strikes from 252+ Urshifu (9% Chance to KO). 158 speed is still good enough to outspeed Gouging Fire and Modest Pelipper in Tailwind.
Arcanine-Hisui:
I'm personally a bigger fan of Jolly Arcanine in the current meta cause the speed stat from 142 to 156 is so crowded that you want to outspeed all of Timid Regidrago (Cringe), Adamant Urshifu, Gholdengo, Archaludon, Modest Chi-Yu, Modest Landorus-I & opposing Arcanine. You also speedtie -1 Max Speed Gouging Fire since it has a speed stat of 156 too (also applies to the rare Choice Scarf Landorus-T). You also always outspeed paralyzed speed booster Flutter Mane which hits a speed stat of 153. With the little bulk I gave this Arcanine, it has a better Chance to survive Expanding Force in Psychic Terrain from Iron Crown as well as Stomping Tantrum from Hearthflame (after Intimidate) as well as Ivy Cudgel once you terastalized. Tera Grass is something I haven't commented on yet but it's amazing into Wellspring, Urshifu and lets you play some interesting mind games against Landorus-I too. You also resist Thunderclap which comes up quite often, I guess.
Raging Bolt:
Tera Electric Raging Bolt is back and it is better than ever. Getting the damage boost on all 3 Electric Type moves is huge and with Pokémon like Flutter Mane, Wellspring & Moltres you can deal with Landorus quite well. I made this Raging Bolt exceptionally fast for an AV set in order to still outspeed -1 Landorus (the double up of Icy Wind + Dragon Pulse always knocks it out). You should also outspeed opposing Raging Bolt which is great. There are also some other Pokémon around this speed range like Rillaboom, Archaludon and Adamant Max Speed Incineroar. Bulk is still good enough to survive Adamant Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao and the double up of Earth Power + Bleakwind Storm from the genies (roll heavily in your favour against 116+ & 252 respectively).
Ogerpon-Wellspring:
Impish Ogerpon is ridiculous. On this team it works as a glue to Protect your offensive powerhouses while still threatening offensive couverage against Landorus, Incineroar and Urshifu-Rapid. On the special side, this Ogerpon spread survives Specs Tera Fairy Moonblast from 36+ Flutter Mane and Sludge Bomb from Landorus (12.5% Chance to KO from 252 Timid). On the physical side you survive everything pretty much. Tera Fire (+1 Attack!) Ivy Cudgel from Ogerpon-Hearthflame only has a 25% Chance to knock it out. Jolly Icicle Crash from Chien-Pao is not even a 2HKO. If you also consider the support from Intimidate, Snarl Moltres and TWave to make the lack of speed no problem, this Ogerpon has everything you wish for. The 20 speed EVs are there to outspeed base 80s with a neutral nature like Regidrago and Dragonite. And no, I really don't think that it is important to outspeed -1 135s (Chien-Pao and Flutter Mane) with a positive Nature.
Moltres-Galar:
As stated before, Moltres in its galarian version had really good tournament showings. It is a phenomenal Pokémon into Iron Crown based teams which otherwise would be a really bad matchup for a team like this. Moltres also has a really good time into Landorus-I as well. Keep in mind that Berserk won't activate if you are hit into the range from Landorus (funny Sheer Force interaction I give you on your way). Berserk lets this Moltres go berserk for real. You basically have a 2.25 damage amplifier thanks to +1 & Choice Specs. And trust me, Moltres gets into this range quite often. Tera Ghost is really cool to get around Fake Out, play mind games against Ursaluna and it's also really good against Scarf Urshifu endgames. They either lock themselves into Surging Strikes against Ogerpon or they click Close Combat which you can punish with Tera Ghost. I wanted to be faster than bulky Iron Crown (metagame of countering my own featured teams GG) and also max speed Incineroar, some Regidrago and Modest Pelipper. The bulk lets Moltres survive Tera Water Surging Strikes and some stuff after Intimidate (Tera Fire Cudgel / Tera Stellar Ice Spinner etc.). On the special side, Landorus cannot get a 2HKO while Iron Crown (with Modest Nature) has a 32% Chance to get there. Oh, Hex is cool if paired with Thunder Wave to nuke opposing Flutter Mane. It's also way stronger than the other moves but it's very conditional too (112.5 Air Slash, 101 Spread Fiery Wrath, 130 Hex).
Sneasler:
Sneasler is actually quite the good partner for Moltres cause it can remove the Fairy Types while Moltres gets rid of the Ghost types. White Herb Sneasler cooks the balance cores of Incineroar & Rillaboom. Tera Stellar gives you the jump to KO offensive Ogerpon, Tera Fairy Raging Bolt and Impish Incineroar. White Herb is great to ignore Intimidate once but it also helps against Icy Wind, Electroweb and Breaking Swipe. You can also activate Unburden yourself by using Close Combat. I went for a spread that outspeeds Landorus-I and has a lot of Attack while still surviving +1 Booster Energy Thunderclap (43% Chance to KO). Surging Strikes should also not be a KO (5% Chance) which helps even more into the balance matchup. Sneasler also has the fastest Fake Out in the current metagame which makes it a great Pokémon for small support as well. Gunk Shot is used over Dire Claw cause of the important damage you would not get with Dire Claw (Ogerpon, Rillaboom, Flutter Mane all surviving).
Variations:
As stated above, running a faster Flutter Mane is an option but Bold Flutter Mane is just so much fun to use. Arcanine could also be changed to Adamant if you want extra damage, especially for Extreme Speed. Also, Tera Ghost can be used to create a double Fake Out immune lead with insane pressure (Flutter Mane + Arcanine). When I faced this combination in a tournament last weekend, I shit myself with my balance team. Raging Bolt can be made even faster and I'm dead serious. Assault Vest fast Bolt is not a joke and can get you some nice surprise knockouts and also outspeeding stuff like Ogerpon after Electroweb / Icy Wind is obviously beneficial. Moltres can be made even a little bulkier or faster than Max Speed Modest Raging Bolt (127 speed stat) if you struggle against teams featuring this set.
Conclusion:
This team is tons of fun if you're the one playing it. Dealing with Thunder Wave, Rock Slide, Fiery Wrath and more is a pain. This team also features the team building approach to use unconventional Pokémon (and sets) to catch your opponent off guard. I think Moltres is a real Pokémon in this format. I'm not that convinced of Sneasler but this is one of very few teams where I can see it being good. Enjoy the team as long as its good cause I'm working on a counter team in the shadows 🕵️♂️ [I'm not...]

When solving a matchup, never rely on just one person's playstyle.
Here's my process:
1. Find 3+ people who run the team I struggle with
2. Play 2-3 bo3's vs each
3. Take notes on common patterns
4. Look for consistent answers
Why? Each player pilots differently. What works vs one may fail vs another.
Real results comes from understanding the matchup deeply, not just countering one person's style.
This takes more time but builds deeper understanding.
What matchup has been your biggest struggle recently?
Top players don't just play the game.
They breathe it.
Every loss is a lesson
Every win is data
Every game is growth
They're thinking about Pokemon while:
- Eating
- Walking
- Showering
- Working
It's not healthy.
But it's reality.
This is the mindset gap between good and great.

Showdown revived it, would recommend anyone to play it if:
- You missed worlds (WCS)
- You are burnt out of Reg I
- You want to practice Pokémon fundamentals
- You want a format with Megas (before ZA comes out)

Reg I Duo Review #26: Terapagos + Koraidon
Many of you were surprised to see this duo pop off in the latest VR tour. I wasn’t cause I got my ass beat by it a few weaks ago in my Reg I server 😅 On duo this paper doesn’t make sense but in practice it rules 🧵⬇️ (1/9)
