Getting set up @SilverstoneUK for the last of the Bike Experience events here this year. Slightly poor vis but expecting a sunny day when the fog burns off. Excited to welcome new riders to the magical world of two wheels.
Many thanks to Mark Benevolent Fund for providing the grant to purchase a charity vehicle to tow the trailer. Unit One Automotive looked after us and we have a fantastic Land Rover.
Happy New Year. Great news…we will be able to provide our instructional days again in 2023. We have been working with a fundraising company and secured enough to pay for PLI and at least 3 events so far. Just waiting to hear about venue and dates. See you in April.
At Bicester Heritage as a possible venue for 2023. Exciting to know that we will be back up and providing our Instructional Events after a two year break due to Covid and nearly having to wrap up the charity due to lack of funds. Future is brighter now.
We are still here and surviving - just. A new company is helping the charity and we need help. See the Facebook page for more details. Fingers crossed this time we succeed.
No previous supporters have been able to offer help. There is no money left to pay the PLI, pay the equipment insurance, hire of the venue, repair the equipment etc. We will attempt to find future funding, or find someone with money to take it over. (2/2)
After a decade of operating, with more than 400 disabled people given the fabulous opportunity to ride two wheels, the charity is to stop operating for the time being. We have had no success in any funding applications, all sources focusing on Covid. (1/2)..
Can anyone help? The charities Public Liability Insurance premium has leapt from £4K to £11k. It’s not feasible for us to pay that and still operate. Anyone know of PLI that is affordable? Please contact Talan.
