P7 have safely navigated their way to Scoughill. Weβve had a lovely afternoon, settled into our dorms and are ready for dinner. So lucky to have such a sunny start to the week.
P6/7 made a great start to the term. This week we focused on setting up our learning environment and working together. Our prospective House Captains have already begun preparing their speeches and posters for the school vote a week on Tuesday!
P2/3 had a wonderful time at John Muir Country Park with P1/2 and P6. The sun was shining and we had great fun playing in the park and enjoying the outdoors. Thanks to all our helpers.
Excitement will be building today as we welcome our P7s back from their transition days to @dunbar_grammar and complete their dress rehearsal for the WOSCARS award show tonight!

P2/3 had a great day out at Belhaven Beach yesterday. We helped the Community by doing a litter pick on the beach and learned about some of the previous land uses of the beach area and Seafield pond. Thanks so much to Tara Sykes for help us.
Thanks to the adults who joined P2/3 this morning for our final BOATS day of the school year. We enjoyed playing with you, sharing our learning and trusting us to take you around the assault course!
P2/3 and the rest of the school had super fun participating in potted sports on Wednesday. Thankfully the rained stayed away long enough for us to enjoy all of the events. Well done to all our volunteer helpers.
P2/3 went out on a village walk this week. We were looking at how the land is used around West Barns and also made a stop at the river to take samples of the river water. Thankfully, we tested it back at school and found that we have very clean water flowing through West Barns!
A wonderful week of learning!
p4/5 presented their learning all about biomes.
West Barns Young Volunteers Awards, - 1st Gold awarded for 50 hours today!
Our Rights Respecting Steering Group shared work to highlight childrenβs rights in school! #KAIRS#rightsrespectingschool
P2/3 had great fun making cornflour slime, as part of our Soluble and Insoluble materials topic. We were amazed how this solute changed from a liquid to a solid and back again.
