One of the reasons I stopped going for events was when one industry guy wanted me to bend over before he can give me the spotlight.
See, I don’t have no issues with your sexuality. If you are a guy who likes guys that���s on you.
But saying before you can help me I should come upstairs to your room then that’s just not me.
This happened at Eko Hotel during the last MTV event in Lagos. My bro Izzo can testify to this.

People who know me very well know I am shy, discreet and I love my peace.
I don’t even want to be in front of the camera.
I will tell others to go, take the fame, just leave me to my couch and my Adobe.
I love to be in the field of my designs than do all that tv, lights and everything

Many industry heads are a cult, if you don’t join they won’t give you your big break.
I have refused to join and be a part of their group.
I have always been my own man.
I believe in the work of your hands will take you places.
I have worked with incredible models across Europe, Africa and America without being in any industry group or cult

I have worked with NFL athletes.
Worked with a former Executive director of the US/Spanish COC
Flown across Africa
Seen children show me games they play and we all laughed
Did all that without a cult or an industry group.
Featured models who worked in Fast and Furious…..
people don’t know our story at all

Many of you don’t even know the demons we have to battle in this industry.
Industry gods that don’t want you to blow until you submit to their will.
I have fought many battles.
I have fought many demonic people.
And yet the fans who hold the keys don’t even know this.

Some days I get so tired.
I just want to deactivate everything and call it quits.
But when I remember why I started Zen and remembering how my father kept pushing me to keep on going even when I didn’t feel like it I get up, open my laptop, open my Adobe and start creating again.

Back then, magazines like Cosmopolitan wouldn’t even offer our talents a cover or a feature. That’s exactly why we built this brand; to be the voice that champions our people. Now that GQ and Vogue see our stars shining on a global stage, they’re quick to jump on board. But many forget; we believed in our talents long before the world paid attention

So many magazines have stopped operating. So many. Should I go naked before I get noticed? Should I start acting insane before we get that big wave of traffic? Should I be what I am not to get that attention?
