The Rwandan diaspora in Copenhagen brought the Umuganda tradition to their community in Gladsaxe, Denmark, on Saturday February 22, 2025. It's the same day that the monthly cleaning and communal engagement was taking place across Rwanda.

This initiative, which means "coming together in common purpose to achieve an outcome," involved community service and an Annual General Meeting.

Discussions centered on the role of the Rwandan diaspora in the country's development, promoting "Visit Rwanda," and showcasing products made in Rwanda. Participants also discussed the growth of remittances sent by members of the Rwandan Community in Copenhagen, which play a crucial role in Rwanda's economy and development.
