Reminder: The Local 89 Women's Committee will be hosting a Family Day at our union hall this Saturday, July 13th from 12pm to 3pm. There will be games, prizes, dunk tanks, vehicles from our shops for kids to see, and cash food and raffles to raise funds for the Women's Committee.

Local 89 members were in full force at the 2024 Teamsters Women's Conference in Puerto Rico last week. During the multi-day conference, Teamster women from across our union heard from a number of speakers and attended workshops to help further develop their skillsets.

PRESIDENT THOMPSON VISITS FIRE KING PICKET LINE

Yesterday, during the first day of the Fire King Unfair Labor Practice Strike, Local 89 President Avral Thompson visited members on the picket line. Members were energized by the visit, and are determined to stand together.
