@dwightjaynes They posted a full timeline that gets it settled one way or another by December. Nothing wrong with doing public outreach and hearing comment before doing a deal this size.
@ryancconnell I haven’t seen anyone serious except for blowhards outright opposing it. It’s very much a how do we fund it responsibly and what kind of specifics are in the deal that benefit Portlanders.
@JoshReynolds24 Why should he have to turn his back to box out? Makes it way harder when you’re already playing defense. If he got ran over from behind that’s somehow better? Getting trucked from behind is way more likely to result in getting hurt. What is yoour rational other than just because?
@blazerwagon That’s a ridiculously low return for Giannis. Milwaukie wouldn’t even answer the phone. Pretty sure clippers could do better than that too.
@SleeperBlazers 2nd place goes to 91 WCF game 6. 91-90 loss to the lakers due to a fluke Cliff Robinson turnover that swung the outcome. Would have gone home for game 7 to go back to the finals. 91 was the best team we ever had since 77, better than 90 or 92 and should have won it all.
@503Blazerfans Won’t they want to keep Joe since he’s the only guy they have locked in at a cost controlled contract? Dort and iHart both need new extensions. The way I see it they’re gone.
@503Blazerfans Whats the spectrum of success for this type of trade? On one end you have Gobert and KAT trades. On the other end you have every KD, Kyrie, Harden, Ben Simmons trade. People should be nervous about putting all their assets into a trade for a potentially mercurial “star.”
@JonesOnTheNBA Olshey choked the drafts and squandered assets on fringe players that were gone in a flash when Portland was ready to win. Otherwise we could have gone after a couple of those guys.
@AaronJFentress Too much from Portland. The three best picks in the trade and a swap for Brown. And it’s not valuing scoot or shaedon at anything more than salary filler. Blazers should get a flier, or a trove of seconds or pay less—like keep that swap.
@SwishBruhYT All the independent reporters plus many national league insiders suddenly changed? Or you are drinking the Dundon koolade. Which is more likely? 🤔
