Fire on a hillside brought crews together overnight. 🚒 Teays Valley Fire responded to a brush fire Tuesday around 9:00 p.m., in the Olympia Fields area involving approximately one acre. Crews worked alongside Buffalo VFD, Winfield VFD, and the WV Department of Forestry.

From now through May 31, outdoor burning is only permitted 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. All fires must be fully extinguished before 7:00 a.m.⁣

Clear 10 feet to mineral soil, attend fires at all times, and burn responsibly.

Teays Valley Fire, WV State Police, & Putnam County EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in front of Burger King on SR34. Crews arrived and found two vehicles with moderate damage in the center turn lane. One driver had minor injuries and treated on scene.

8:11 PM—#teaysvalleyfire was dispatched w/Putnam Co Sheriff’s Office for a rescue near Ventroux Rd. & Mallory Ln. Crews staged at Tompkins Crossing w/Engine 71, 702 & our drone. The individual made it out safely. Poca VFD & Putnam Emergency Management were cancelled enroute.
