PICS: KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Thamsanqa Ntuli, today led a Round-Table Duscussion on Illegal Immigration to strengthen social cohesion, lawfully manage Immigration.
The Round-Table Discussion took place at the Archie Gumede Conference Centre, in Mayville under the flagship operation "Engangeni Ngesango Iyafohla".
This engagement involved representatives from various government entities, Amakhosi, Religious Sector and civil society.
#sapsEC Illegal abalone dealers were dealt yet another blow when members of the Gqeberha #SAPS K9 nabbed suspects and confiscated abalone in unrelated incidents. This week alone, the total value of abalone recovered is about R502 331.00 and three suspects aged 31-39, were detained.
On one incident abalone was recovered after a high-speed chase through Summerstrand. The suspect (33) tried to force the SAPS K9 vehicle off the road, causing it to collide with a property, he was arrested. On another, a suspect (39) lost control, overturned through a high school fence in Summerstrand and was arrested.
