Okay so I just did a full revamp of my career roadmaps into technical project management.
I created them for 3 different backgrounds:

1. No Tech background, no PM experience
2. Tech background, no PM experience
3. PM experience, no tech background

These companies know that. That’s why they’re all jumping in headfirst into it to find or make ways to utilize it. It’s trial and error season. Jump in with them lol. Think long term. What can you do now to make a change later? Step 1: Educate yourself about it

Like it or not AI isn’t going anywhere. That’s why most companies have added AI knowledge and usage as a part of people’s job requirements. It’s a part of yearly performance reviews too. That’s why I’ve been telling people to learn about it for years now, but ya know.. hey.

It will eventually get to a point where the gap becomes those who know and those who don’t. At every level and role.

Yall can also have copilot help you build your agent lol. It knows itself best. It’ll literally walk you through it too. Most companies have copilot premium. Try to build something to help you do your job more efficiently.

Don’t forget that you can pivot in the industry you’re already in and it may be an easier entry point! Every company has an IT department. Is there someone in that department now that you can ping and network with, set up some time with, and see if you can move into a role there to get some experience then move on. Business acumen is just as important as technical skillset.
