He is Matthew VanDyke from USA.

He was involved in facilitating foreign fighters to join the Ukrainian forces against Russia. He was arrested in India along with other foreign nationals for alleged links to armed insurgent groups operating near the India-Myanmar border.

A few days ago, he told court that the food served at Tihar Jail was too spicy. He sought permission to prepare his own meals and requested several food items, including chicken, red meat, shrimp, pasta and noodles. He also claimed that he had lost around 14 kg and that his health had deteriorated. He also sought medical treatment at a private hospital.

And now, his family has appealed for diplomatic intervention to bring him back to the USA.
