@_fearlessmadman You find out so much info about intimate details that hide w/in those RFCs that everyone probably including myself don't bother to read them but sure the explanation was there in plain sight RFC 1105 too much reading I zoomed right past it until that issue came up

Ran into SAME issue with a customer finally figured out the issue w/ research and AI. Inteserted a lab/mock up of the environment and asked AI to find the routing loop & then provide the solution...I completed this in under 1 hour

iBGP employs a loop prevention mechanism called BGP Split Horizon. A router learns routes from one neighbor but doesn't advertise them to another to avoid loops. This is a fundamental rule, crucial for understanding network stability. #BGP #networking
