Yesterday, TikTok hoodrat Tesoti treated her followers to footage of herself having brunch in some upscale restaurant.

The absurdity was immediate. Her brand has always been weed, cheap liquor, and a revolving door of men - in that exact order. She is cut from the same cloth as Scophine Aoko: performative degeneracy packaged as authenticity.

That brunch post was the first red flag.

The second came quickly: pushing the government’s favorite narrative of impending post-election violence and national chaos.

Nobody wants to say the obvious. William Ruto’s ICC case was never dismissed. It was simply placed in limbo after key witnesses started dropping like flies - many of them dumb enough to trust commercial activists like Hassan Omar, Maina Kiai and George Kegoro who served as resource personnel for Luis Moreno-Ocampo, only to be thrown under the bus when it suited their pockets.

The world is simply waiting for Ruto to fumble again so the case can be reactivated with fresh momentum.

His “friend” Karim Khan has been suspended pending a vote, facing allegations of sexual misconduct on top of losing his British practicing license.

Mar-A-Lago warlord Donald Trump has already lost Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, stripping him of reliable Senate muscle and setting the stage for midterm losses and potential impeachment drama. Emmanuel Macron is exiting in April, Keir Starmer has resigned, and British politics remains too volatile for anyone to bet their survival on it.

Ruto is on an extremely short leash. One serious misstep and it’s game over. All he can do in the meantime is manufacture fear through bogus bloggers, TikTok scammers, and the occasional targeted killing dressed up with plausible deniability.

Hoodrats like Tesoti, with zero range, zero depth, and no capacity to analyze geopolitics or structural power, have no business selling you fear porn. They are not analysts. They are low-level operatives whose entire relevance depends on staying in the good graces of the same system that funds their occasional upscale brunch flex.

Do not let these clowns dictate your emotional temperature. Their job is to keep you scared, distracted, and disengaged.

The real game is bigger than their scripted hysteria. Recognize the pattern. Reject the bait.

So this is how bots operate: they reduce the analytical statements to fact, imply that the fact is false, or has no evidence to support it, and use a reductio and absurdum fallacy to make it look stupid. Reductio ad absurdum is a fallacy where someone reduces what an opponent says to a very silly statement that leads to an absurd conclusion.

After they've done that, they finish the post with an insult, like implying that you need to go back to school or that you don't know what you're talking about. The point is to humiliate, so that you react to the humiliation, or you censor yourself, or better still, the people reading your post censor themselves so that they don't get insulted as well.

In Africa, or at least in Kenya, bots reflect the larger anti-intellectual culture that punishes analysis, evaluation and creativity (i.e any speech that goes beyond mere restatement of fact), especially from Africans. The broader goal is to suppress thinking so that we're all bots, pasively accepting what we're told. It's part of the epistemic warfare we discussed with @DavidHundeyin
