Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, is warning that AI could lead to a flood of unoriginal games.

Sakurai points out that Steam has gone from around 275 game releases a year in 2010 to more than 19,000 today

“AI can create games, but it can’t create something truly original.”

Sakurai also argues that originality means creating something players don’t even know they want yet.

He uses Fumito Ueda as an example, saying AI could imitate the style of games like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, but it wouldn’t know what Ueda himself would create next.

Information on the upcoming Cyberpunk 2.5 update has leaked early!

Here’s all the major features coming with Cyberpunk 2.5, its a huge update:

- FOV slider is coming to consoles

- Mod support for conoles is also coming, works the same as it does in Witcher 3 Remastered

- TWO new side quests: 'Clampdown' set before Edgerunners S2 and “Welcome to Paradise” which takes V in a “mysterious tour of Night City”

- New perk called “Double Trouble” which allows you to dual wield pistols or revolvers.

- New radio stations that only plays music from Edgerunners 1 & 2

- New 'Glamdocs' vendors have been added, where you can customise the look of your arm and hand cyberware. These are new characters with new lines of dialogue

- 5 new clothing sets and new hairstyles for both male and female V

- Photo mode ypdated

- Save files are now separated into folders for each playthrough

- Fixed HDR settings on PS5

- Bug fixes

Blows my mind they went ahead and did all this after it felt like Cyberpunk 2077 support had wrapped up, seriously amazing work to CDPR!
