@smaameri@_buildspace@_nightsweekends@FarzaTV@BrofessorLux Love this idea, grabs people's attention to QR codes. But would this pose as a problem for cameras? like would mobile phones have problems trying to scan those custom QR codes?
@waseemhnyc@_buildspace@_nightsweekends I absolutely love this as a tinkerer and builder. Is there any resources or things that could help beginners? its a great resource but beginner might have tough time figuring out what is what.
@Koushik_ADC@_buildspace@_nightsweekends Micro-hackathons are 6-8 hour hackathons on specific ideas. Ex. a hackathon week 1 would be about creating your first ever web application on a specific theme. Instead of the hackathon being super open-ended we give them a head start on what to make and which theme.
@battletest_@_buildspace@_nightsweekends Yea, this idea is purely based on our experience with hackathons. Our only obstacles are sponsors, having a consistent basis and such.
@0xaiindrila@_buildspace@_nightsweekends Yea, heavy emphasis on beginners, but we also include people with all types of experience, cuz we don't want them to feel left out of this incredible opportunity.
@sammaji15@_buildspace@_nightsweekends Instead of those hackathons that are days or weeks long, we'll be implementing short 6-8 hour hackathons that are held 2 times a month instead of random date every year.
@puckmine@_buildspace@_nightsweekends A regular hackathon is a lengthy coding competition where you have 3 days to maybe weeks to develop something through code. Micro-hackathons are just smaller 6-8 hours, people can make smaller projects on focused ideas that can help them improve a specific part of their skillset
@AndreesDC @_buildspace@_nightsweekends Yea definitely, we were planning on having a intro course like minimum 60 min on important tools and fundamentals and then a hackathon for people to use them for. It's a great way for people to immediately get their hands on.
