Water isn’t just a basic need—it’s a strategic asset for Africa’s future. It defines our food sovereignty, economic growth, and stability.
This #AfricaDay, @UNDPAfrica Regional Director @ahunnaeziakonwa calls for a new water economy to secure our future.
To achieve #Agenda2063, we must shift:
1️⃣ From isolated projects to continental investment pipelines
2️⃣ To cross-border, cross-sector water management
3️⃣ To Africa leading global water resilience conversations
When Africa secures its water, it secures its future. 🌍💧

China has launched the upgraded "Green Channel 2.0" for African agricultural and food products, as a complementary measure to the zero-tariff policy covering 53 African countries.
Green Channel 2.0 provides faster approval procedures, streamlined assessments, expanded remote inspections, and more flexible enterprise registration arrangements.
🇿🇼 For Zimbabwe, this creates fresh opportunities for more agricultural and horticultural products to enter the vast Chinese market. Notably, Zimbabwean dried chilies can now be exported directly to China without a separate bilateral protocol. 🌶️🇨🇳

Starlink's satellite constellation requires chips at scale. As the network grows toward tens of thousands of satellites, it represents a significant and recurring source of semiconductor demand that most analysts overlook.
China’s zero-tariff policy for 53 African countries came into effect on 1 May 2026, giving Zim exporters improved price access to Chinese market.
