It ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. It's how much you can take and keep moving forward. -Rocky
@jeremyjudkins_ I wanna know how this works with cheap or older devices that don’t have the uwb feature in them. Will Bluetooth and image recognition be enough for opening the door on approach?
A few interesting things to note here.
1. Why only a limited demo with the orange and not one with many objects needing to identify and place the orange?
2. Why are you typing the prompt here instead of speaking it?
3. It wasn’t clear, but I assume the videos of Neo’s POV are the generated videos since the roll of fabric at the end didn’t roll naturally and the bagel disappears from the toaster. 🤔
I know they keep adding great features to this dashcam footage. It I would love if you could toggle to the visualization on screen for these recordings. I’ve had hard braking occur in a consistent area and one time I was able to catch it visualizing an animal for a brief second when it was just a hard rail hidden by leaves. Greatly helps understand what to system thinks it sees and help explain these painful driving habits it has.
Couple things to note. 1. The direction your house is facing. Ideally you want a clear line of sight out a window towards the tower. I used the newest receiver for my testing with no external antenna. You can try that if speeds aren’t great. I typically got 800 mbps download and 2-300 upload at 50 ish ping (not a stable ping though). 2. The line of sight to the tower is important. If your area is highly or highly wooded, i would not consider. I was about .8 miles from my tower and a few trees in the way on flatish land and got the above speeds. I would say .5 miles with direct line of sight should be pretty stable with decent speeds. I never noticed speed degradation at certain parts of the day. Sometimes bandwidth felt like an issue if i was gaming on my computer, pulling out shorts/tiktoks on my phone, my gf was working on her laptop and watching a show. It’s a lot of things to consider. If you don’t game heavily, i think it’s still a good cheap option if you meet the above criteria. Hope this helps.
@isiosstable What aspects will you use to test responsiveness and accuracy? If Apple Intelligence ends up using a secondary model like ChatGPT, will you still include this in the metric since it will depend on a third party?
@SawyerMerritt@Starlink This isn’t even a deal. The us mobile plan is already $17 a month paid annually. The Starlink is only for 6 months then normal costs. So essentially, the only savings is for 6 months. Then it’s back to what you can already get today on either service. I’m disappointed.
The issue I have with this is there's almost no upgrade path for the tiers other than unsupervised. How would lite or supervised ever get any meaningful updates? The whole point of FSD is to update to be safer and unsupervised. Either the lower two stagnate or there's some way to make sure the other paid subscriptions somehow improve over time but don't cross into unsupervised.
Charging preparations for extreme US winter weather
→ If charging at home, charge to 100%
→ Always route to Superchargers using Tesla Navigation to precondition your battery for the fastest charging
→ For Model 3/Y standard range rear wheel drive: use 250kW+ Superchargers when possible as they can directly heat cold-soaked batteries, getting you back on the road faster
→ Use your vehicle's touchscreen or Tesla App as the source of truth for Supercharger availability

@philipengberg@TESLA_winston Slight correction as there are a few non fsd features that are also dependent on hw3 vs hw4. I have AMD hw3 but did not get the b pillar sentry recording. Hw4 cars got it. I’m hopping this comes in the future for hw3. But in general, these updates care about the chipset.
@USMobile when should we expect 5G Apple Watch support and how will we get notified. A bit bummed I can’t use the watch on cellular since picking it up…
@teslashillbot I would probably suggest a wipe every 5 to 10 minutes when parked. It doesn’t need to keep cleaned. Just remove it before the sun dries out and creates water spots.
Potential Tesla feature: automatic wipers when parked. That way any sitting water on the windshield gets wiped away automatically so it doesn’t dry with water spots and require wiper fluid or manual cleaning. Thoughts?
@teslashillbot I was thinking it could run off sentry mode. Wipers already work off the cameras. If sentry detects motion and it seems it to be water, it could wipe. I get false sentry for rain all the time. Either way, it would be up to the customer to decide and want the feature at cost of %
