I completely agree with this statement, and I would go further and say that when the teacher becomes the facilitator, they encourage their students to become conversation facilitators, better listeners, and better thinkers. Thank you @AFairITRT#6710DB2
Teachers need to go from being a lecturer to being a facilitator. Students should have choice in the way that they learn AND how they show that learning. That is the only way for them to truly engage in the learning and make it meaningful for them. #6710DB2
Having a growth mindset is so important as a teacher. Our students learn from us, and when we are willing to grow, so are they! Great point
@AslWalden22#6710DB2
In order to bring change into the classroom we as educators must change our mindset and step out of our comfort zone using technology our students use on a daily basis. When you think you know everything and are no longer willing to learn, you need to stop teaching. #6710DB2
One "Big Shift" that I need to be brave and try is blogging in the classroom. Incorporating blogging into my lessons on a daily/weekly basis is intimidating to me because I do not have much experience with blogging. #6710DB2
Teachers must have a growth mindset to see academic growth in their students. When teachers believe in the "Power of Yet", they teach their students that they can accomplish great things, with hard work and determination. #6710DB2
Twitter in the Classroom: Idea #1 - Students can create their own individual tag, and upload pictures of their work all year. Then, at the end of the year, they have a digital portfolio that they can access forever.
They can share their tag with family and friends! #EDUC6710
