Introducing Live2D ATL for Ren'Py!
Easily control Live2D models in your Ren'Py games using Ren'Py's standard Animation and Transform Language!
Finally got off my butt to release this thanks to @renpytom vague mention of Live2D updates coming in future Ren'Py releases
New Update for Live2D ATL with version 1.1.0!
In addition to a BIG performance improvement, you can now use the `live2d_target` property to sync Live2D Parameters between displayables. With some clever application, you can even use this with Ren'Py Side Images!
Let's not forget motions! Get more control with how they are applied to your models, with control over the blend mode, speed, fps, weight, and more!
(All IN ADDITION to motions applied the normal way, through attributes!)
It's basically just wrapping the existing set_volume, set_pan, set_audio_filter functions into statement form. I just find statements easier to work with than in-line python and typing out the entire path to the function.
Looks like this bug is going to be fixed in the next version of Ren'Py (8.5.4+).
BUT if for some reason you can't / don't want to update, I'll be leaving this script up for free for those that need it!
There is a teensy issue in the current (8.5.3) and previous versions of Ren'Py that causes certain Live2D motions using bezier curves (exported from the editor) to display incorrectly.
I've made a free fix for this, for anyone that has run into the issue!

Excited to show more of our work soon! We've got a lot of stuff to reveal so follow to see how our series gets made 🙏🔥
i know it's discouraging to see constant discourse online as a creator but please don't give up on your projects!
you'll find your people and your audience and it makes everything worth it
