@HouseOfHorrorCo While both wear their influence on their face, in the end Longlegs is still the more unique story of the two. I also think, on a personal opinion scale, that Longlegs is the better film of the two.
I do not understand the heavy love people have for Smile 2. It's fine I guess? I have a lot to say about it that isn't positive and I'd have to make an effort beyond surface level compliments on it. 6/10
Finally getting to Smile 2, specifically as part of an assignment on the Bechdel Test but honestly I think the instructor just wanted us to choose something we haven't seen for funsies because almost none of the paper is about the movie we watch unless I make it so.

It's weird watching people I know as young and confident take dramatic turns into folks that use filters on every picture of themselves to look younger. Like, I know self image is a fluctuating thing but...I mean I guess I just didn't see that happening for millennials.
This public speaking course has the nicest way of repeatedly saying, "we need public speaking because y'all are too dumb to contextualize information for yourselves" without making people feel like idiots.
