Earthquakes cause so much destruction and tragedy, and hundreds of millions of people live in earthquake prone regions. We wanted to find a way for technology to help in any way possible, so we built the Android Earthquake Alerts System in 2021. It enables early warnings at scale, and we’ve now sent more than 1 billion alerts. Today, we’re expanding the network from 98 to more than 200 regions and improving our Be Ready alert to quickly give you additional info. Thanks to our Android safety team for driving this innovation.
