These are irate youths in Katsina, protesting & baying the blood of a “blasphemy” suspect. Looking at this, Nigerians must be wondering why these youths & their leaders don’t protest this way against the unbridled terror that has ravaged northern Nigeria. It’s indeed a paradox.
If Tinubu can effect a change in our constitution to go back to regional autonomy and resource control, I'll campaign for him for 2027.
Nigeria needs a serious restructuring.
Let every region control their resources & govern themselves.
This sham contraption is toxic.
End.
After series of Fulani Att@cks in Amanze, Imo state, they mobilized youths & chase the fulanis away, then police came and arrested the youths. The entire village are protesting against police & fulanis. We are in solidarity with Amanze people. Police must stop this nonsense.
Publish the certificates of all Candidates — Peter Obi orders INEC
The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make public the academic certificates and credentials submitted by all candidates seeking elective offices, saying such a move would promote transparency and strengthen public confidence in Nigeria’s electoral process.
Obi made the call in a Facebook post on Tuesday while reflecting on the questions contained in the INEC nomination form he completed.
According to the former Anambra State governor, one of the questions in Section E of the form asks whether a candidate has ever been adjudged a lunatic or declared to be of unsound mind. He said the question prompted him to reflect on whether Nigeria’s political leaders are demonstrating the qualities of sound-minded leadership.
He argued that the country’s worsening security and economic challenges deserve greater attention than political activities.
“When Nigerians, including children and security personnel, are being abd¥cted into the bushes, citizens cannot travel safely on our highways, several million Nigerians are uncertain where their next meal will come from… should politics really be our primary preoccupation?” he asked.
Obi maintained that responsible leadership would declare the nation’s security and humanitarian crises a national emergency and mobilise security agencies, experts, community leaders and other stakeholders to address them urgently.
He also referenced another question on the nomination form asking whether a candidate had ever presented a forged certificate to INEC, arguing that the electoral commission should publish the academic qualifications submitted by all contestants in the interest of openness and accountability.
“Transparency strengthens democracy and builds public trust. Nigeria’s problems are too serious for politics as usual. It is time for leadership defined by competence, character, capacity, compassion, and commitment to service,” Obi stated.

One of the most profound statements that @DeleFarotimi has made was applauding Tinubu for exposing many people who we thought had integrity.
I dislike inconsistent people so much.
The terror merchants have released this video of little children in their captivity. Watching this video & considering the trauma these innocents are passing through, would it make any sense to claim that these terrorists have become repentant once they’re caught?
This is the simple reason why Nigeria has remained backward for ages despite having some of the best brains in Africa, we put mediocre forward as leaders expecting miracles to happen…..
