So after an 8.5 hour busy night shift I thought I’d treat myself and work an extra 3.5 hours cooking breakfast for the whole hotel. Thanks to the breakfast chef for not turning up a 12 hour shift is just what I needed. (Caution statement contains some sarcasm)
Assault, vandalism, public urination, sexual assault, theft, assaulting a police officer, destruction of property. Just a list of a few of the crimes committed last night. Good job acting responsible England.
So quick review of the BBCs The Watch. They failed twice over. Firstly they failed to match the wit and humour of pratchett. Secondly anyone new to the discworld will watch once, pick up a book, realise how bad the show was and never go back. Swing and a miss BBC.
I’M SO BORED. Working a night shift alone is the worst. Do a walk round in silence, clean bar in silence, ponder questions with no one to rant to, and very occasionally get shouted at by a rude guest. I’m loosing my mind.
Parents evening today and it turns out the sullen teenager is in fact a big nerd at school. Beloved by his teachers and excelling in class. I’m very proud of how he’s doing and that this crazy time hasn’t brought him down.
