A huge loss.
WSJ Editorial Board: "The American civil-rights movement has many heroes, and one of the most unsung was Robert L. Woodson Sr. The native of South Philadelphia, who died Tuesday at age 89, made his mark in the tradition of Booker T. Washington by arguing that the best path for empowering minorities and the poor is helping them lift up themselves."

In Part 2 of today’s Pritzker blame games, this time he’s going after Trump for Illinois’ high gas prices.
But somebody – like the press, if they would – needs to ask Pritzker why Trump’s policies don’t hit the Midwest equally. Why is Illinois’ $5.05 per gallon gas price (avg. per AAA):
94 cents higher than Indiana’s?
88 cents higher than Kentucky's?
87 cents higher than Missouri's?
76 cents higher than Iowa's?
55 cents higher than Wisconsin's?
25 cents higher than Michigan's?
Pritzker’s honest answer would be: “Because after I doubled the motor fuel tax in 2019 and then tied those taxes to inflation, we now have the nation’s 3rd-highest gas taxes. It’s on me.”
But don’t count on Pritzker to tell the truth. Or the media to challenge Pritzker on it.

No. Don't throw billions at corporations. Instead, pass the reforms – like lower individual and corporate tax rates, tough on crime policies, no more spending on illegal immigrants – that make Illinois competitive again...that make it so companies and teams like the Bears have no choice but to stay. The goal: to become so damned good they can't afford to leave.
Check out @GovPritzker’s latest blame game. This time he’s trying to pawn off the potential loss of the Bears on Mayor Brandon Johnson.
It’s a way for Pritzker to both distance himself from Johnson’s unpopularity and create a scapegoat if the Bears do leave.
But the blame falls squarely on Pritzker. His own failures have already chased out of Illinois a bunch of blue chip HQs and operations. Like:
Boeing
Citadel
Morton Salt
Tyson
Guggenheim
Caterpillar
TTX
Peak6 Investments
Pritzker’s been in office for seven years. He owns the mess Illinois is in: Punitive taxes. Violent crime. Overwhelming pension debts. Illegal immigration. Outmigration of Illinoisans. A lack of job creation. Energy bill spikes. And more.
If the Bears leave, it’s all on him.

Citadel's Ken Griffin got tired of being targeted by Illinois' failed policies, so he left. And he took his firm and his $$$Billions with him. To Miami.
Now @ZohranKMamdani is about to chase Griffin out of NYC.
I warned Democrats against targeting Illinois' wealthiest, including Griffin, because middle income families would eventually end up paying. And that's exactly what's happening as Illinois keeps losing its wealthiest taxpayers.

The outmigration trend won't stop until @GovPritzker and Johnson are gone.

The closing of Walgreens in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood is an obvious outcome when Johnson and Pritzker consistently reject law and order. What else can these companies do?
And Ald. William Hall calls it “Corporate abandonment”?
Bad guys need to be held accountable. Arrested. Prosecuted. Sentenced.
That won’t happen until Johnson and Pritzker are gone.

The difference between Illinois and Florida's gerrymanders?
Illinois' unfair maps under Gov. Pritzker give us the nation's highest taxes, no new jobs and mass outmigration.
Florida's maps create jobs and economic growth, and attract people from across the country.
That's what I told @NewstalkSTL's Mike Ferguson this week.

Loved the optimism at the @RNC retreat this past weekend in Florida.
Great, inspirational leaders are showing us the path to prosperity in Illinois – if we'll only take it.
Thanks to @JoeGruters and team!

I've seen lots of posts on Unity and I’ve received questions about my support for Darren's campaign, so let me comment here.
I hope many of you saw my final letter where I congratulated Darren there. In a couple of media spots, I have also encouraged those who supported me to support him in ousting Gov. Pritzker.
But let me add some clarity.
About Unity. I did call Darren to congratulate him Tuesday night, but he did not answer the call. Just in case there was a bad connection, I also texted him immediately with a congratulatory message.
I did not receive a response back on Tuesday night and I have yet to hear from Darren.
That’s all ok. He doesn’t have to respond to me. If you’ve seen some of the commentary from Tom Devore, they simply may not want to reach out to me.
But I do want to set the record straight that I did reach out to Darren.
A second comment about the supporters of the Ted for Illinois campaign. I do urge them to support Darren in getting Pritzker out of office. But Darren himself will have to earn the support of many of those voters. Many felt rejected by Darren’s avoidance of the debates and his long absence from Chicagoland, strategic decisions he made.
I hope this answers some questions many of you may have had.
All the best to you and all Illinoisans!
Ted

My official statement regarding the outcome of the primary election.
Thank you to everyone who came together and supported the Ted for Illinois campaign.
Wow - What an experience running for Governor has been! Carrie and I enjoyed traveling the state and meeting so many great Illinoisans.
We are so thankful for the warm reception we received and the many folks who hosted us, donated to our campaign, and volunteered many hours to help us reach voters.
God Bless All of You! And God Bless Illinois!
The other campaigns for governor can't and haven't built the coalition needed to beat Gov. Pritzker.
Small business owners, Angel moms and dads, pro-life groups, Latino evangelicals, Chicago businessmen...all have come together to support @TedForIllinois.
There's still time to join us. Go to the polls and vote Ted Dabrowski for Governor.
