@ImCollegeSoccer Unfortunately it is not that simple, the assumption is that a incoming freshman and a 5th year senior are the only moving parts, there will be returning sophomores and juniors that will be told to enter the portal in the calculus here as well.

@ImYouthSoccer Hoping this doesn’t affect my daughter or her friends but if it happens to you take a deep breath and then go to work on a plan. Check your birthdate against the new rules, you might be better off reclassifying down and finding a club to train with.

@ImYouthSoccer No matter who the program is they are not at fault. The best bad news is the bad news delivered early. Schools recruited 2027s in the current model in place. The model changed. Discussions with 5th year eligible players are now happening.

@ImYouthSoccer Today 2 Pitt VB players announced they are returning for a 5th year. That directly affects 2 2027s. I hope I am wrong but this is going to go badly over the next 3-6 months. There will be dominos as some 5th years will enter portal and displace other 2027s at mid-majors as well.

@regulatorynerd I feel bad that you for your girls that you care more about the men that want to play in women’s sports than providing them a safe space. Pretty sure 4th grade volleyball won’t see a Blaire Fleming like hit, just wait til you get to a competitive level. Hint- you aren’t there yet
