Experiencing wine, golf and travel in Canada and around the world. Opinions are my own—but they're really good ones.

The 2023 list is here! Got $20 to spend @LCBO? (I'll be following up next week with a number of near-misses from this list that are also well worth the money!) https://t.co/YQKzbHt6In @ProfileWineGrp @Dandurandwines @Noble_Estates @WoodmanWS @AuthenticWine @ChartonHobbs #wine

@RCXcyclopedia No, Gulf of America was not understandable.

@MJMcKean Remember the White Coliseum in Washington?

@TorontoStar If Hoekstra were to accuse Canada of stealing alien technology from Area 51, it would be no more absurd than his accusations of Canadian interference in US elections.

@JimByersTravel A small market final, but all I care about is that these two teams play fundamental baseball like nobody else. Put the ball in play, take extra bases, advance runners, stellar defence. As someone who’s played ball in some form my whole life, I’m eagerly looking forward to this.

The Montréal Canadiens haven’t won a regulation game this season since opening night.

@CanadiensMTL You’ll have to give me an extra week or two.

.@AbdulElSayed (D-MI): "My name is not the reason you can't afford your gas. My name is not the reason you can't afford your groceries...Their policies are the reason why. Their war in Iran...is the reason why...If you're picking a fight with Canada, you're the asshole."

It always bothers me when people talk about attendance and only mention the average per game, because that doesn't account for ballpark capacity. For example, if you compared the Dodgers' 2026 average of 49,805 (highest in the league) with the Athletics' 9,867 (lowest) without mentioning that the Athletics are currently playing in a minor league ballpark that only seats 13,416, that would be misleading.

I put each team's capacity and average attendance in 2026 into a chart. The Blue Jays and Padres averaged over 100% attendance because of SRO options, while the Marlins and Royals averaged under 50% attendance. The league average was 72.50% in 2026, and the Athletics were at 73.55%.

Here is the full chart with teams ranked from highest attendance percentage to lowest:

Now that she has "White House Press Secretary" on her resume, maybe Katie Zacharia can apply for White House Legal Counsel. I mean, Will Scharf has been there for almost two months, so his time is probably coming to an end.
