Director Park Si-young:
“Oh, now that you mention it, I wonder if this will make the news too? Please let it get covered. I’m disgusted by the way HYBE, a major corporation in the K-pop industry, conducts itself. If you’ve taken years of these minors’ lives under the guise of “training”… seriously, what kind of adult does that? Bunch of pathetic losers. If you’re making money off kids and building a business around them, then at the very least, act like responsible adults. They’re so embarrassing.
You’re going to “set an example” for the entertainment industry by crushing people with money and lawsuits? Give me a break. I don’t give a damn about Min Hee-jin or Bang Si-hyuk. But targeting one young person and trying to destroy them, how is that justice? It’s so unbelievably idiotic. There should be a limit. HYBE is seriously disgusting. I hope this gets as much media coverage as possible! Bunch of fools who can’t even act like adults.”

they all came up with the self-made music show idea (even before ki was a thing) in case they weren't able to go on mushows due to them moving to a new company in order to see FUSE and decided to go all out including individual fancams 🥹

Joel Kim Booster talks about the entertainment industry's "backpedaling" on queer representation, even in light of the success of Heated Rivalry:
'“So many gay spaces have become almost exclusively for high-earning, wealthy gay men,” he says. He sees irony in the fact that “the people who would benefit from being in these spaces the most are the people who are never going to be able to get there financially.”
He says, too, that despite the success of his own projects and other LGBT-centered shows like Heated Rivalry, the current wave of harassment coming from the White House is having a chilling effect on artists. “People are really frightened and risk-averse right now because of this administration and what we’ve seen in the way of censorship or retaliation,” he says.
Booster calls out the industry’s backpedaling on shows that put queerness center stage — despite important successes like Heated Rivalry, in which love between two elite players shifts the hypermasculine world of hockey. “There are now six hockey shows in development, none of them gay, and it’s like, guys, I think it wasn’t the hockey that was the big issue.”'
