@STCRCR0SSED@esc_sparky I’m doing my best to keep up here bc I have to work but yes Ciara’s scores were similar to those guys & she def did better than some of them imo. I think that part comes down to the fame aspect & having less public exposure
@STCRCR0SSED@esc_sparky The bachelorette, sav bananas, & jimmy kimmel are all FAR more famous than summer house, so naturally they’re more well known. A lot of people watch summer house, but it’s not mainstream. I think tyler or jackson will go home next week for the same reason
@STCRCR0SSED@esc_sparky Like I said, the ONLY part I don’t understand is how this ties into Ciara’s elimination specifically. If she was really good & got high scores, then I’d totally understand, especially bc it’s happened with other black contestants, as people have pointed out…
@esc_sparky@STCRCR0SSED If Ciara was really good & got high scores, then I’d totally understand, especially bc it’s happened in the past (like u said). But she wasn’t as good & not as well known, so her elimination was expected
@esc_sparky@STCRCR0SSED I appreciate u taking the time to explain all that, it’s completely valid. I think the only part of this I’m struggling to understand is how it ties into Ciara’s elimination specifically, bc she’s simply not as good & not as famous (just like the other 4 eliminated before her)
@kellysupton & I’m not saying racial biases haven’t affected black contestants on the show. If Ciara was really good & got high scores, then I’d understand, especially bc it’s happened in the past. But she wasn’t as good & not as well known, so her elimination was expected
@kellysupton …for summer house. A lot of ppl watch it, but it’s not mainstream TV, so not enough people knew who she was in general. She’s simply not as famous as the others AND had lower scores on top of that, just like the other 4 eliminated before her, so it wasn’t surprising at all
@ungodlydice It’s not argumentative bc we’re not arguing!! Asking questions & bringing up counter points for clarification is how productive conversations work!! Points are made > questions are asked!! This is how ppl learn & gain perspective from each other 🌝
@kellysupton To me it made sense for her to go home next bc she had lower scores & doesn’t have a big enough fan base to make up for her low scores (just like the other 4 eliminated before her). But I’m sorry for asking & trying to understand… damn 💀 (2/2)
@kellysupton I was genuinely asking how it’s racist that ppl didn’t vote for ciara. I fully acknowledge racial issues in society, but I didn’t vote for ciara & it has nothing to do w her being black 😭😭 I voted tatyana, ezra & amber (1/2)
@Phantomsballad If u think there should be more awareness around the topic, then u should encourage people to ask questions & learn, which is what I’m trying to do. You can’t be upset that I’m unaware & then ALSO be upset that I’m asking questions to become more aware. Feels impossible (3/3)
@Phantomsballad My friends & I watch the show every week, but we just watch the episodes & move on. We don’t spend everyday deep diving into the social media culture or engaging in online discussions or about the show’s politics. Most of my dwts convos happen in real life or via text (2/3)
@HockeywthHannah Not to me, I kept asking because I was curious & wanted to learn! Luckily I got more responses. Thanks for the passive aggressive response though lmao 😂
