At @TeddysTutoring, our structured, data-driven methodology replaces stressful SAT cramming with proven, personalized strategy. Statistically, consistent summer SAT preparation yields more reliable score increases, setting up a stronger college application!
Even a two-minute breathing break before a tutoring session can manually reset your nervous system, allowing your logical brain to take the lead again.
With anxiety, your brain’s "alarm center," the amygdala, triggers a "fight or flight" response by releasing cortisol. In high-stress urban or academic environments, this alarm remains "on," weakening the signal to your prefrontal cortex—the area responsible for logic and focus.
To "rewire" this response and stay in peak study shape, try getting 10 minutes of morning sunlight to regulate cortisol, and practicing a "digital sunset" by turning off screens an hour before bed.
While there is no cure, most people manage it effectively with inhalers that either relax those tight muscles or reduce the swelling, allowing them to breathe freely and stay active.
This happens because the muscles around the airways tighten up (a squeeze) while the inner lining swells and produces extra mucus (a clog), making it feel like you are trying to breathe through a very thin straw.
This week our schools are honoring Immigrant Heritage Week—celebrating our newest New Yorkers today and the profound impact that new New Yorkers have had on our city’s history.
The whole world lives here, and that’s part of what makes NYC so special:

In our schools, every day is #EarthDay!

High #cholestrol is an excess of fats in the blood. Levels can rise when eating foods high in “saturated fats” and “trans fats”. Plaques form in our arteries, obstructing blood flow to the brain (stroke) and the heart (heart attack). Good diet and exercise can lower these risks!
