The land was plunged into darkness as the light of the world was slain.
Watch this biblical timeline of Good Friday and reflect on all that Jesus endured to atone for the sins of His people.
It’s not that “homosexuals won’t make heaven.”
It’s that no one who continues in sin without repentance will, whether it’s sexual sin, pride, lying, or anything else.
See na ✍️
In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
“Do not be deceived… the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
That’s for a person in the world, when they come into Christ, they drop those things.
But the gospel doesn’t stop there.
Verse 11 says
“And such were some of you. But you were washed _ _ sanctified _ _ justified “
What do you think is the essence of washing ?
That means people used to live in those things, but they didn’t remain there.
God’s call is the same for everyone
In Acts 3:19
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”
And in 2 Corinthians 5:17
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away …..”
So how can someone say they have accepted Christ, yet still hold tightly to a lifestyle of sin and continue in it comfortably ?
Jesus Himself said in Luke 9:23
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
So daily, a person is saying, Lord, have mercy on me, I’m not a homosexual, I know I fell yesterday.
But here is their pastor calling them a Homosexual Christian
Yes, someone may come to Christ while struggling with homosexuality or any other sin.
But surrender means you don’t hold on to it as your identity anymore.
You are no longer defined by that,,you are now in Christ and daily from that point, it becomes a fight against sin, not a partnership with it.
Somewhere In Galatians 5
It says walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Will there be struggle ? Yes.
Even falling at times ? Possibly.
But you won’t stay there.
Remember how many times righteous man may fall, seven times and rise again.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, you get back up, repent, and keep moving forward.
It’s the same for every sin.
The thief stops stealing
The liar stops lying
As Ephesians 4:28 says
“Let him who stole steal no longer,,,,,,”
So you cannot come into Christ, hold on to a sinful lifestyle, and then create a new identity around it.
There is no such thing as a “Christian homosexual” in the sense of practicing and embracing it without repentance.
Because in Christ, your identity changes, and your desires begin to change too.
In Hebrews 12:14
“Pursue… holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”
God is not calling people to manage sin, He is calling people to leave it.
Repent.
Believe.
Be transformed.
Yes this. 100%
“We are such a public people. I fear for many of you young ministers, I really do. Most of us, who are old, we spent many years serving in anonymity, with a small flock, experiencing failure, no one knew our name. I remember so many times, my support was three hundred fifty dollars a month, and I felt I was such a failure I should give that back. But it was in that hiddenness, alone with God, not only did no one see you, no one wanted to see you, that God shapes and fashions a man. But now you go from college, to master's, to PhD, to podcasts. And you finagle a way to get somebody famous on your podcast and it shoots your numbers through the roof and there you go. No. Stop it! Just stop it! I beg you, make God your goal."

Our granddaughter, besides being as cute as can be, is also a five-year-old lawyer. She is always ready with a rebuttal or argument, already honing her skills for a future courtroom. Recently, while she was chatting nonstop, I grinned at her and said, “You know why God gave you two ears and one mouth, right?” She looked at me quizzically. “So you will listen twice as much as you speak.”
Every parent or grandparent has probably said something like that, and it certainly rings true.
Today, in James 1, we read a verse that at first glance seems to express the same proverbial wisdom: “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger…” (1:19).
When we look at the surrounding context, however, the more generic-sounding command to be “quick to hear” becomes more specific. James is urging us to listen to the Word of God.
Just before this verse (1:18), he mentions the “word of truth,” through which God brought us forth. Immediately afterward (1:21), he exhorts us to “receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.”
The verses that follow continue to unfold what it means not only to hear this word but also to do it. We hear with our ears, yes, but we also live out what that word teaches, such as visiting orphans and widows in their affliction and keeping oneself unstained by the world (1:27).
So yes, God gave us two ears and one mouth, and it is wise in every circumstance to be quick to listen.
When you read the Bible, however, always (always!) pay attention to the context. In James 1, the primary emphasis is clear: we are to be especially eager to hear the teaching and proclamation of the Word of God.

If God wanted unity for unity sake, He would not have scattered the people at Babel.
Unity by itself is not impressive. Even Satan and his kingdom are well united against the good. Unity for it's sake is not a blessing.
Unity is only blessed if it's unity for truth and the good. That means the good must first be defined and known before blessed unity can be spoken off. To be united in evil is simply solidarity in rebellion as God's enemies.
"Firmly believing that my times are in God’s hand, I here submit myself and all my affairs for the ensuing year, to the wise and gracious disposal of God’s divine providence." — Matthew Henry
Fame is vulnerability. Popularity is to have eyes on you. And human eyes are wicked eyes. God in His kindness will protect most of His children from fame and keep them from the wickedness of human eyes.
Therefore, Just as we ought not to pursue riches, we ought not to pursue fame. Pursue doing the will of God. Desire to serve God not riches or fame.
And if the Lord is pleased to put the burden of fame on your shoulders, carry it with fear and trembling knowing the danger you are in. For the greatest danger is not even the wickedness of human eyes, it's the loss of your soul.
The famous one is in danger of falling in love with his fame. The popular one is at risk of putting his trust in his popularity. Such a one will gain the world and lose his soul for he will begin to live his life to further his fame and not do the will of God.
Don't seek fame. But if you're burdened with it, do not allow it become the source of your joy, meaning or identity.
CHRIST ALONE, who loved you and gave Himself for you despite your wretchedness, IS YOUR LIFE. Not the approval of men.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” Daniel 3:16–18
When you know what you are willing to die for, then live for it with all your might.
Nigeria is, in many ways, a wicked nation. We are the modern-day Cretans…. loud in confession, shallow in conviction.
We serve Mammon and call it success. Materialism has become our national religion. It bleeds through our weddings, our conversations, our fashion, our lifestyle, and the things we celebrate.
We worship money.
We celebrate noise and discard novelty.
We do not truly hate oppression… we only hate being the oppressed.
And this same mindset has crept into the Church.
True Christianity is countercultural, but what we practice is largely syncretism…. a blend of godliness and greed. Even among us, preachers are not honored for faithfulness but for fame and results. We have not been taught the way of God. We have been discipled by a culture that glorifies wealth and mocks virtue.
The Nigerian man has been taught to idolize money, not value, to pursue luxury, not godliness. That’s why a person dancing for his wages under the sun is mocked, yet a man whose lavishness cannot be traced to honest labor is admired.
And the most tragic part?
The one place that should resist this wickedness, the Church has become its loudest promoter! When “I will not be poor” becomes our favorite confession, we reveal not faith, but fear.
We are the poverty capital of the world, and yet we gather to chant false affirmations. The Christian’s greatest fear should never be poverty…. it should be ungodliness, laziness, corruption, and dishonor to God.
Poverty does not destroy a true believer; it can only refine his faith. Why then should money dictate the quality of our faith?
In my opinion, the voices in the Church must forget endless social debates, marriage seminars, and financial classes, and return to the heart of our call…. preaching the Gospel and righteous living.
We must shake the hands of the wicked politicians only long enough to rebuke them, and celebrate the decent laborers who earn their bread with integrity.
We must stop promoting this “favor” narrative that has no roots in dignity or honest labor. Stop glamorizing people for face-value success and start honoring those who bear the fruit of character.
Stop talking about trends and start talking about Christ.
Fewer prayer campaigns for breakthroughs, and more cries for holiness.
Let’s focus on teaching our divine responsibility to care for our nation, to be responsible citizens, and to labor for the good of mankind. We are being distracted by fruitless conversations. Fools are platformed because we have become a foolish people.
Stop these empty gender-war discussions that profit no one and fix our gaze on Jesus. Expose the charlatans. Have nothing to do with them. And promote sound doctrine once again.
I am not a perfect messenger. I am also a victim of this nation’s wickedness…. a product of its generational rot.
But will I stand and be part of it? No.
I will die striving for godliness. I will fight not to cut corners or bypass righteousness.
I will die honoring God…. in private and in public.
I am still unlearning the fruit of this wicked engineering, still being sanctified from its residue.
But if my message is Christ, then my message is perfect — even if the messenger is not.
May God heal our hearts and turn our eyes once more to His precious Redeemer; Christ alone.
Amen.
🧵Hymn Histories: The Beautiful Story of “Be Thou My Vision”
Few songs are still sung after 1,200 years. “Be Thou My Vision” is one of them. I love it deeply, but so have Christians from medieval Ireland to modern churches worldwide. Here’s why and where it came from. 🧵👇🏼
Medicine is common grace.
God didn't just create His things and abandon them. He cares for His creatures with all these mercies and gifts which christians call common grace.
"Common" because both the good and evil people, human and animals enjoy it alike. God gives this kind of grace indiscriminately to all. He cares for sparrows (birds), lillies (plants) and humans made in His image. The wicked can have rain fall on his lands and it will yield bounties that give him joy same as the righteous.
It is common but it is not cheap. It's God kindness and in places where it is scarce because God witholds it, they know it's not cheap. We may also call it GENERAL grace.
Medicine is part of this general grace. God cares for mankind with these balms and salves, medical procedures and surgical processes to ease our pain.
Historically, Christians have always received it with gratitude and appreciation to God knowing that medicine works because God says so. It has never been a sign of unbelief to use medicines for christians. It is why Paul would prescribe it for Timothy's chronic abdominal sickness.
It wasn't until the error of American faith healers took hold that Christians influenced by them began to feel shame for medical treatment. It is only among cultures they are idolised that there is a perceived contradiction between faith and medicine.
Christians who reject or hide from or sneak around to get medical help are not wise.
They're like a man who thinks there is a contradiction between trusting God to provide and working for your livelihood. They unwisely don't realise that the same way we give thanks to God when we receive salary alert even though it came from a human company, we also ought to give thanks when we use medicine or do a surgery and it works even though it was through human hands.
The SOURCE of healing is single, the one good God from whom every good gift comes. His chosen MEANS of healing are plural and employed according to His sovereign will.
The builders labour in vain if God doesn't build. The security men watch in vain if God doesn't watch. We use medicine in vain if God doesn't heal. Medicine works because God heals. Medical healing is common or general healing from God.
Receive it with gratitude. To reject His gifts is to suffer when you could not. This world is broken enough. Don't add "needless" suffering to necessary and good suffering.
Pray when you're sick and seek medical help as you do Just as you pray for provision and you work as you do. Let God determine the means of your healing or provision, whether it is "miraculous" or general.
Why should you imply that you have more faith than Paul who prescribe remedies and all the fathers? Why should you continue to foster the hypocrisy of faith healers who claim to never need medicine but secretly travel abroad for medical care? Why should you encourage the delusions of men who claim not to need common grace in medicine but always end up appealing to God's sovereignty at funeral sermons? Why should you be ashamed of the gifts of God?
Why should you die when the Lord would have had you live longer? Why should you continue this hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance?

@Kafui_Yaw This man is a minister favourite and on the lips of many Ghanaians yet he has very questionable theology! People don't really care anymore about sound doctrine. It's all about shouting and that's what the majority in the charismatic circles regard as spiritual! 💔😞
