Please don't misinterpret our concerns as an attempt to bring down Scarlet Heart Thailand. We, Myanmar People, are speaking up because we believe 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
And here is Tay Tawan's Myanmar Fanbase that has been eagerly waiting for ages to see Tay portray a villainous character. We are just as excited to see him in this role. But as Myanmar people, we also have the right to speak up for our country's cultural heritage.
Please don't mistake our call for cultural recognition for hate towards the series, its cast, or its fans. We want to see the series succeed, but we also want our heritage to be respected.
Supporting our favourite artist and standing up for our cultural heritage are not mutually exclusive. Please understand our intentions.
And @GMMTV@ScarletHeartTH We won't stop until you provide a clear and proper explanation. YOU MUST OFFICIALLY CLARIFY THIS MATTER.

🚨 Usage of Burmese Attire in SHTH series
We would like to ask why the team would use the Burmese royal attire ‘htaingmathein’ from Yadanarbon era, 19th century, instead of using Lanna traditional clothing from 15th century?

We’re calling it theft because it is theft, and we’re not making things up. We have plenty of evidence and can immediately prove the cultural elements they copied in the past, too. When there was a copy issue with another country, they made a statement immediately. But profiting from a country suffering due to its political situation is shameful. That’s taking advantage of our vulnerability!!!

If you use another country’s culture, give proper credit. Respecting cultural heritage is not optional.

Cultures may share similarities due to geographical proximity, but that does not mean they are the same. In this case, they have not only stolen the costumes from Myanmar’s Yadanabon Era but also copied the traditional Rakhine Candle Dance, which belongs to one of Myanmar’s ethnic groups.
As shown in the picture, Rakhine State and Thailand are geographically far apart. They do not even share a border, so claiming that the dance is similar simply because of geographical proximity makes no sense. The distance between them is considerable.
This is a blatant act of cultural appropriation and exploitation, showing a complete lack of respect for our cultural heritage.

Not every Burmese person knows how to perform the 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐢𝐥-𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, and that is precisely why its cultural identity deserves recognition.
Myanmar is home to many ethnic groups, including the Rakhine, Bamar, Shan, Mon, Karen, Kachin, Chin, and others. Each has its own cultural traditions, artistic expressions, and heritage. Being part of the same country does not make every tradition common to every ethnic group.
The Rakhine traditional oil-lamp (Si-mee) dance, also known as Buddha Pujaniya, is a distinctive expression of Rakhine cultural heritage. Its devotional meaning is closely connected to Buddhism and offerings to the Three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. The dancers move gracefully while balancing lamps on their palms, accompanied by devotional songs and traditional music.
The Rakhine oil-lamp dance is a distinctive form of Rakhine traditional performing art, associated with Buddhist devotional offerings. Its choreography, music, and cultural significance form part of Rakhine heritage and should not be treated as a generic traditional dance without acknowledging its origins.
When such a culturally specific performance appears in #ScarletHeartThailand, its historical and cultural origins warrant careful research. If Rakhine cultural elements have been incorporated into the series, their origins should be accurately identified and appropriately acknowledged.
We sincerely hope @GMMTV and the @ScarletHeartTH production team will address these concerns, provide proper credit for verified Myanmar cultural influences, and issue an official statement clarifying the historical references behind the relevant scenes.

fix there is new project of them based on the “wait and see what WE will do next” 🙂↕️
💭 : what can we expect to see from dewtee in the future?
🦊 : hm, if you ask me… i guess you'll just have to wait and see what we'll do next! but if possible, i’d like to explore… how should i put it? i’d like to experience different worlds, you know what i mean? because for example as an actor, well, im an actor, right? but it's not easy to get the chance to play certain roles, like a police officer. because in real life, i don't really have the chance to become a police officer anymore.
so for our next project, or sometime in the future, i’d like to try something… how should i say this? something that i definitely wouldn't be able to become in this lifetime. through a series, i’d get the chance to experience what it's like to be that person and learn more about it. i think that's a really valuable experience as an actor.
Respecting Myanmar’s cultural heritage matters. We hope GMMTV will take responsibility and issue a sincere apology.
