Today, I came across this beautiful scripture. “I will give you back seven times what you lost.” Joel 2:25. If you believe God will multiply everything you've lost in your life, please respond with an Amen.
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. -Colossians 3:15
Jesus, help this verse be true in my innermost being.
Not because I am striving to trust.
But because I remember you are so trustworthy.
A friend asked me recently why I keep turning down interviews and invitations to minister.
To many people it looks strange. Some think I am wasting opportunities. Others think I am hiding.
But the truth is something most people never see behind ministry.
There was a season in my life when I was everywhere — campuses, high schools, podcasts, meetings. I stood behind microphones, preached, quoted scripture, prayed for people, encouraged people.
From the outside it looked powerful.
But inside… I was drowning.
Drowning in sin.
Drowning in depression.
Drowning in an identity crisis I didn’t know how to explain.
I looked like a man who had answers, but inside I was full of questions.
There were times I even borrowed money just to travel and minister somewhere. Sometimes I accepted invitations not because God sent me, but because I needed the honorarium to pay bills.
And sometimes after borrowing transport to go minister, I would leave without even being given anything. I would go home angry and frustrated.
That anger revealed something deeper in my heart.
Imagine preaching about prayer while struggling to pray.
Imagine teaching the Word while your own word study life is empty.
That was me.
I could preach sermons.
I could quote scriptures.
I could sound deep and spiritual.
But my private walk with God was weak.
Two years ago I made a difficult decision.
I stopped.
I stopped accepting ministrations.
I stopped chasing platforms.
I even stepped away from serving publicly for a while.
Not because I hate ministry.
But because I became afraid of something more dangerous than obscurity — becoming a man who looks anointed before men but is empty before God.
I once read a scripture where Jesus says: “I never knew you.”
That scripture shook me.
It made me realize it is possible to serve God publicly and still miss Him personally.
So for the past two years I have been doing something many people will never see.
Working on myself.
Rebuilding my prayer life.
Rebuilding my relationship with God.
Rebuilding the secret place I once neglected.
Today I still turn down many invitations — even tempting ones.
Because I refuse to touch the microphone before I touch God.
This season of my life is not about platforms.
It is about alignment.
Healing.
Repentance.
Walking with God again.
I don’t want to look powerful before men while struggling privately with God.
And when the day comes that He sends me again, I don’t want to stand behind a microphone with just a message.
I want to stand there with a life that has touched Him.
Because the greatest tragedy in ministry is not being unknown by people.
The greatest tragedy is being known by crowds but unknown by God.

PANTS Rules
In my role as a police officer, I’ve encountered situations where kids didn’t report abuse because they didn’t know how. The PANTS rule is critical; it offers clear, simple language for children to safeguard themselves:
1. Private is private, and no one is allowed to touch it.
2. Always remember that your body is yours and only yours.
3. No means no, and don't yield to pressure.
4. There are no secrets from Mum and Dad. If there is any attempt to harm you, please report it.
5. Say something so that we can do something.
PARENTS: Explain this to your kids, boys AND girls. Ensure they memorize it like an emergency number!
