I’ll Be Waiting for You. I Hope You’ll Be as Loud as You Were When It Concerned Your Uncle — VDM Dares Davido Ahead of 2027 Elections

Social media commentator and activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has challenged singer Davido to maintain the same political energy he displayed during the Osun State governorship election ahead of the 2027 general election.

VDM said he would be watching to see whether Davido would openly speak against the APC in 2027, recalling his alleged support for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke.
“I will just be waiting for Davido in 2027 election. That’s when I’ll be waiting for him,” VDM said.

Davido’s family, he said, was vocal against the APC when their family was involved in the election.
“Your family was involved, they were very active, they bash APC, XYZ. I hope say in 2027, your voice go loud,” he stated.
VDM added, “I just hope we’ll hear you that time to say okay, yes, don’t vote APC.”

He also criticised the hypocrisy among Nigerians over the Adeleke family’s influence in Osun politics, arguing that people might react differently if another political family dominated a state.

VDM further said he was disappointed by the level of development in Osun State despite the international exposure of members of the Adeleke family.

“I was disappointed. I’m not even going to lie,” he said, adding that he expected the state to have been more transformed given the family’s influence and resources.

He specifically referenced Davido, B-Red and Sina Rambo, saying they “have traveled abroad before” and could help replicate what they had seen abroad.

VDM urged the Adeleke family to use the next four years to improve the state, stressing that “I’m a patriotic citizen of this country” and that he would continue to speak his mind despite criticism.

He concluded with a direct message to Davido, “I hope you come out in 2027 to come and stand. All wetin you talk about APC, you’ll need to repeat them in 2027.”
