Day 8 – Episode 1
Topic: Layer 1 vs Layer 2
Good morning and welcome to Day 8 of the 30-Day Web3 Challenge.
Today we’re talking about something many beginners find confusing:
Layer 1 vs Layer 2.
Let’s make it simple.
✅ Layer 1 is the main blockchain itself.
Examples: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain.
This is the base network where transactions are recorded and secured.
Think of Layer 1 as the main highway.
The problem with some Layer 1s (especially Ethereum) is that when too many people use them at the same time, they become:
• Slow
• Expensive (high gas fees)
That’s why Layer 2 was created.
✅ Layer 2 is built on top of a Layer 1 to make transactions faster and cheaper.
Examples: Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon (in some cases), zkSync.
Think of Layer 2 as extra lanes added to the main highway so traffic can move faster and cheaper.
✅ Simple difference:
• Layer 1 = the main blockchain (security + settlement)
• Layer 2 = a faster and cheaper network built on top of Layer 1
Layer 2 still depends on Layer 1 for security.
It processes transactions more efficiently, then sends the final result back to Layer 1.
✅ Why this matters for beginners:
If you use Ethereum directly (Layer 1), fees can be high.
If you use a Layer 2, you can do the same things for much lower fees and faster speed.
Many people now use Layer 2s for:
• Swapping tokens
• Using DeFi apps
• Minting NFTs
• Everyday on-chain activity
That’s Layer 1 vs Layer 2 in simple words.
Have you used a Layer 2 before, or have you only heard about Ethereum?

Day 5 – Episode 1
Topic: WHAT IS DeFi?
Good morning and welcome to Day 5 of the 30-Day Web3 Challenge.
Today we’re talking about one of the biggest parts of Web3: DeFi.
✅ DeFi stands for Decentralized Finance. Now Let’s break it down.
➡️ Traditional finance (banks, exchanges, lenders) is centralized.
You need permission, middlemen, and they control your money.
➡️ DeFi removes the middleman.
It lets you do financial activities directly on the blockchain using smart contracts.
➡️ With DeFi, you can:
• Trade crypto without a centralized exchange
• Lend your crypto and earn interest
• Borrow crypto by using other crypto as collateral
• Earn yield on your assets
• Swap tokens instantly
All of this happens through smart contracts.
No bank staff, no company approval, and no closing hours.
It’s open 24/7 and available to anyone with a wallet and internet.
➡️ examples:
• Uniswap (for trading/swapping tokens)
• Aave or Compound (for lending and borrowing)
• Curve, Lido, and many others
✅ Important things to know as a beginner:
• DeFi can offer higher returns, but it also comes with higher risks
• Smart contract bugs, hacks, and market volatility are real
• Always start small and never invest more than you can afford to lose
✅ DeFi is powerful because it gives regular people access to financial tools that were once limited to big institutions.
That’s DeFi in simple words.
Have you tried any DeFi app before, or is this your first time hearing about it?

Spitting is a deliberate act that harms and disrespect a person. It is largely considered an assault. Yes, you're wrong.
Nobody is manipulating you. Nobody can manipulate you unless you choose to be manipulated. She continually cheated on you without remorse. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, she doubled down. She did not manipulate you. You are simply angry she is not remorseful.
Episode 2✅
Non-coding Web3 jobs.
Welcome back to Day 1 (Episode 2). A lot of people think you must know how to code to work in Web3.
That’s not true.
Here are real roles that regularly hire people with zero or little coding experience.
➡️ Community Manager:
You manage Discord/Telegram, welcome new members, answer questions, make rules, and keep the community active.
Strong communication skills matter more than technical knowledge.
➡️ Community moderator: you welcome new members, enforce rules to avoid spamming, answer questions. Take it as your school classroom where your classmates are making noise, and then your teacher comes in and ask your class to stop the noise and all of a sudden everywhere is calm.
You make the community moderate, and safe for members.
➡️ Content Writer / Thread Writer:
You create educational threads, articles, newsletters, or explainers (exactly what we’re doing here).
If you can explain things simply, this role is perfect for beginners too.
➡️ Social Media Manager:
You handle Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or other platforms for Web3 projects.
Understanding the culture and posting consistently is the main requirement.
➡️ Researcher:
You dig into projects, write reports, track trends, or help teams understand the market.
Curiosity and the ability to understand, learn fast are more important than coding.
➡️ Business Development & Partnerships:
You help projects connect with other teams, find collaborations, and grow.
People skills and networking go a long way.
➡️ Designer (UI/UX or Graphic)
If you can design clean interfaces, graphics, or brand materials, many Web3 projects need you even if you don’t write code.
Most of these roles care about:
• Consistency
• Clear communication
• Willingness to learn
• Proof that you show up (like this challenge).
Which role interests you the most right now?

It is idiotic @ndlea_nigeria wake up, put on uniforms, march into farms, and set economically viable crops worth millions of dollars ablaze while your country is drowning in multidimensional poverty.
Stop destroying cannabis farms. Stop wasting enormous economic opportunities in the name of a failed and outdated policy.
Legalize and properly regulate cannabis. Invest in research, harness its legitimate medicinal and industrial potential, create jobs, generate revenue, and build an industry Nigerians can benefit from.
You cannot burn your way out of poverty, foolish people!
