“Amazon, I trusted your platform with ₹1,76,107, and this is how I’ve been treated.
On September 27th, 2024, I ordered a Sony Alpha 7CM2 camera. But instead of the product I paid for, I received a completely different one—a Sony A6700 camera. I recorded a video of the unboxing in front of the delivery agent as proof and reported the issue immediately.
What happened next was shocking:
•I was told to wait four days for an investigation.
•After the wait, Amazon closed the case, claiming the correct product was delivered—which is NOT TRUE.
•Despite providing clear evidence, Amazon refused to take responsibility.
To resolve this, I took multiple steps on my own:
1.I raised the issue on Twitter to get visibility, but no real action was taken.
2.I filed a police complaint with the Telangana police station.
3.I approached the consumer forum, but they couldn’t help with business-related purchases.
4.I even traveled to Bangalore to meet the seller in person. They admitted the mistake was on Amazon’s side but refused to assist further.
This has been a draining and frustrating experience. After almost three months, I still haven’t received the camera I paid for or a refund. Amazon, how can such negligence happen on a platform as big as yours?
If this issue isn’t resolved, I’ll have no choice but to take further steps:
•File a legal case with my advocate.
•Share detailed videos on all platforms to expose this negligence.
